I've been trying to say the same thing. I can see
where your coming from about learning social skills, etc at
school. However, maybe it doesn't work for everyone and
maybe then it's not just school to blame!?
At our school a lot of people were liked if you went
against the grain. So alcohol, drugs, skiving off classes
and looking outrageous was the thing to do.

So what do you think to Peely then!? He plays some pretty
far gone and out stuff. A lot of it is too weird to
appreciate or crap, but then a lot of it is really good too
and he plays such a broad range of underground styles, from
indie to reggae to hardcore techno.
I haven't listened for a while though. Too busy.

geez.. this makes me feel odd because i haven't responded in a while (nor
have had the time to read everything). lesee... gee, i dunno if i want
to tell anyone what i look like, how do i know there aren't any stalkers
here? well.. i'll give a general description, i guess. i'm 5'2" (yes,
i'm a shorty and damn proud of it), and female. i'm 18 and now have
maroon colored hair (thanx to the magic of hair dye... i'm getting some
funky manic panic red streaks put in soon!), greenish-hazel eyes (eye
doctors can't tell yet...) and i dress in all sorts of fashions. i tend
to go more natural hippy style, but since it's colder now i'm going
towards a more retro look with the ever-lasting polyester. hee-hee! i
guess that will work for now. can't think of anything else to say.
as for home schooling, i've had friends who have been happier with it.
i've never done it, so i don't have an opinion on it.
i also finally bought the Honey vinyl single, although i can't listen to
it yet because i need to get a new needle for my player (it's been years
now.. i'm lazy). personally, i prefer vinyl because it sounds better...
sometimes CD's just sound too... i dunno.. records sound more wholesome.
maybe that's just my opinion.
anyways, sorry if this is a little foggy. damn allergies or a cold,
can't tell yet. anywayz... time to go and try to relieve the pressure in
my head.... hmm.. some antihistamines sound nice right now...
Blessed Be,

not true over here either. i'm a hockey freak and my marks tend to be on
the
insanely high side. i still hate skool though :P in my mind, learning
should be for the sake
of learning, not for the sake of a high average.

on a side note, i'm curious to know what you mean by the "freaks"? Are you
talking
someone like who i used to be, wearning lots of black and heavy black
makeup on a pale
face and listens to heavy, depressing music? Or who I am now, someone who
goes
against the grain and refuses to conform? Something like one of those two
descriptions
or something else? I"m curious because no matter what I do i'm considered
a freak...
but c'est la vie. okay i'm done. byee.

Okee.. I am 7'2 with 3 eyes and patchy hair.. i'm a social butterfly!
NOT!!!
Well.. honestly I am 5'7-5'8, i'm not going to put my weight, although i am
really skinny, i have green eyes and navy blue/black hair that is
constantly
changing... now i've cut it to shoulder length cuz it was damaged cuz of
multiple bleaches/dyes.. was turquoise then green, then brown now navy.
Naturally it is lightbrown/blonde. I've sorta always been the social
reject
type, although it's not cuz i don't like being around people, it's just
there
aren't many people that i like to be around... especially in a crusty area
like
I live in.. I saw the movie Elizabeth yesturday.. I enjoyed it.. it wasn't
a
formula movie like many of the american ones.. cool how a woman made
england
the richest and most powerful country at that time, cuz way back then women
had no rights..
anyhow.. to make this Moby related.. uhh... does anyone know
what the cover to Moby's new album will be like? More food?... if so, I
hope he
uses the pictures of the leek people.. cuz they rocked! (same artist as
pumpkin)
I think that home schooling would be good in many ways for those who could
afford
it, but I also feel that there would have to be some way of having the
children
interact with other children, cuz human relationship skills can only be
taught by
experience (and we are always still learning). I guess the same goes for
extra
curricular activity as well, internet can suffice for some things, but it
simply does
not suffice for real company. However, on the net people can't usually see
you
so they don't judge you on your appearence... and you have the opportunity
to
communicate with people you ordinarly wouldn't have.
Oh well.. that concludes my little ramble for now..

sorry for the off-topic, but...
i just decoded a .mp3 with winamp 1.92 (im behind the times, i know) with

well, besides decoding as fast as ive ever seen any program decode, it
introduced nice little
naseating noises into the resulting wave. soundlimit 1.5 did the same
thing, cant say that i like it.
only program that decodes great for me is l3dec. anyone else have
comments regarding this? thanks and peace out.

Saw the Honey video on M2 today..was talking to my girlfriend on the
phone at the time so I wasn't able to listen to it at any sort of
volume. Seemed kinda cool, although I am more of a raving lunatic.
Also saw God is a DJ by faithless..
About the "what you people look like" question....I'm 5'7", 125 lbs,
highlighted hair, blue eyes...
kinda normal looking I guess...used to do the goth thing..but getting
too old for all that :-) 26 btw..
If I could have my hair any color it would be black with a bluish
tint..but since I have to have a job, alternate hair colors aren't
generally accepted..I don't have any piercings or tattoos...like to be
different I guess..
I didn't play much sports in school..didn't have great grades either..I
am in college now about to get a Computer Science degree..so I think it
is a persons perception about life that dictates how well they do or
don't do..if your motivated to do something, then almost nothing will
stand in your way..
I wasn't motivated much in high school because life sucked..still does,
but not as much :-)
Finally about going against the grain...I am in love with a girl from a
different race..being in the southern part of the US makes that kind of
an interesting relationship..but I love my baby more than anything else
in the world..my parents are not liking it much, but I think they are
warming to the situation..I dunno..I just like to do things differently
than everyone else..would rather swim against the current than go with
it..know what I mean??
Sorry for blabbing..I'll go back to being my lurking self...

Did you know Coca-Cola is 2 proof? Stupid facts, I know. One of my

yeah i've noticed. And i'm all the way up here in Ontario. I've found
that in the past 2 years the average age of "kids" (I still think of
myself as a "kid." :) ) in the scene has fallen to about 17. Being an
old fogey of 22, and having been one of the youngest set when I started
partying about 4 years ago (then being 18) it IS weird. The atmosphere
has totally changed; Now there are a LOT of 16/17 yr olds running
around fucked out of their gourds on crystal, and the VERY FIRST
question i get 95% of the time i meet someone new (after my name is...)
is, "Are you high?", or to vary, "What are you on?" which i find really
funny because i don't touch drugs. Just a personal choice (not a moral
one, before someone jumps down my throat for being holier-than-thou).
Don't get me wrong, i meet a lot of great younger people. but there are
enough notsogreat ones to spoil the reps of the nice (younger) "kids" i
guess. okay no more offtopic stuff from me for awhile :)

My comment is: then keep using l3dec
That's all I've ever used and it's always worked fine,
I tested winamp before and didn't have any problems- but it
could have somthing to do with how the file was originally encoded.
