>>hey AMP played go again....and ya know, they didn't play one new video
in the last two weeks...they gotta have some new videos to play! or
old videos at least! i'm complainin....
A friend saw this and told me that MTV screwed it all up. First of all, they
played the Woodtick mix over the self-titled version's video. You'd see Moby
shout "go!" but you wouldn't hear it cause it would be in the wrong place.
Secondly, the video was listed as directed by Richard Hall & Moby.
Let's hear some reviews on those Honey CDs! Opinions, whatever! Don't be
silent, or your keyboard may get angry at you.
I got my ATINITBL mixes 12" today. I'll let you all know what I think, rest
assured.
I went to a rave Saturday night, and throughout the course of the evening I
spoke w/ lots of people. Whenever music came up I'd mention Moby just to see
if anyone else there listens to him. Nobody. Nor could anyone name the DJs
that were playing, and only about 30% of the people danced. We have a crap
scene in Chicago. It's all about drugs & selfishness. The promoters turned
off the water to sell more in bottles, and I learned they have a reputation
for throwing 2 parties in one night so they can call the cops on one and get
it busted half way thru, then charge everyone again when thye show at the
other party. Super lame. Don't go to Vibeonauts events in Chicago, anybody.

Well, I didn't want to be the one to do it, basically because my opinions only
make sense to me. Also, I am American and they are not American releases if
that makes any sense. But, I got the Moby Honey - Moby Honey Remixes - Moby
Honey Promo.
The Promo is just Honey and Rollo/Sister Bliss Mix. Actually, I really like
Honey and like the original better than the remixes. There are only 3 tracks
on Honey and only 1 is Honey. The other 2 are much different than Honey and
more like old Moby. I need to listen to it more before I ramble anymore
because I can't remember well enough right now. But I do recall them all being
good. Someone else do a better reviewing job. Later.

Hehehe... I cant believe how people have balls to take things they dont know

Shit... I havent heard any of'em, yet. Waiting that guy who went UK to

I've they turned off water, that's in part because there should be a lot
of syntethic shit over there... It's a pity, but I dont care about it, cause
I'm not fond of that stuff.

This morning, I've received a couple of books I bought thru web at
Amazon. I had to pay no toll taxes, and it felt it strange, cause I
always see my cash go when I get CDs.
Ok, rights, musicians rights... But what about if I ask for a thing
that is *not* released in my country (Spain) ? I feel that this is
unfair.
Just a thought. I will keep on saving money to buy overseas (when
there's no other option, of course).
A note: In my favourite record store, there werent almost any Moby
records until I started buying them. Maybe there're more people
interested in Moby in my city, maybe not (I doubt the latter).
I've been thinking in leaving a note on those discs, with my email
and a "If you like Moby, then we're two!" :)

No, there IS lots of 'synthetics', but the major one is E, which requires
lots of water to work, (from what they tell me) and the promoters aren't
stupid. They're devious, in fact.
Well, nobody knew about Ultra Vivid Scene, Soulfly, or the Clash tribute.
Maybe someone can tell me about Moby's involvement with Flipper? Anyone?

Hello everybody.
My name's Denika. I'm 18 and just recently became aware of the great
Moby (two months ago, to be exact). I heard about him from an
acquaintance who was praising his works. I took a trip to the music
store and bought the only Moby cd they had: "I Like to Score". From
then on I knew Moby was it. I followed up that cd with:
- -Ambient
- -Animal Rights
- -Move
- -Rare:The Collected B-Sides
- -(Go:The Collected Mixes
- -Everything is Wrong <---(my personal favorite!)
- -Disk (which doesn't work on my computer, ugh)
and my most recent addition...The End of Everything.
I joined this list in hopes of learning more about Moby and about other
people's thoughts and impressions of him.
Later.

I don't know about UVS. I know moby did the Soulfly remix for free, in lieu
of receiving $30,000 each for mixes of Elton John and Ace of Base. The mix
may be a promo or vinyl only type of deal. And Moby played drums in Flipper.
And as far as I know, the Clash tribute record isn't out yet. Though you can
get a killer edit of the Voodoo Child "Dog Heaven" (extended mix) by surfing

As for me, I don't even own DISK even though I see it in the store everytime I
go. But I am mentioning this because I did just buy the BT Remember single and
the Enhanced Single as well, and it was a hell of a time trying to get it to

DISK work by actually using the program instead of cheating? Later.

Hello, Denika.
Can you tell me more about DISK? I'm interested. And if you like you can
tell me a lot more about Moby's albums.

I havent played too much with that kind of disks (those with mixed audio
- -other media), but I've seen them working on PC and Mac.
I'd like to know if you have tested them on a PC or MAC, which OS and such,
just to check if it's good idea get it, hoping it'll work.. :-?
Maybe DISK is a bit old for nowadays fast-like-hell CPUs ?

At last.
My pal came back from London with a 3-CD mix from James (Runaground), and
the most waited for me: Honey, and Honey Remixes...
It's great, cause although he's not a fan of Moby, he liked the Mixes so
much, that he bought a copy for himself! :)
Goin'home to listen to them carefully... (Jump! Gambol!) :)

Maybe I'm the only one, but Disk has *always* worked for me. I explored the
way the notes said to the first few times I played with it. But then I
started going in and looking for what I wanted to see through the file

Well, I'm not exactly the most knowledgable about them yet, but I do
have some opinions from what I've listened to so far. I've found the
best of his work is compiled into "Everything is Wrong". There are
specific songs on other albums that appeal to me, such as Voodoo Child,
Next is the E, and J Breas, but nothing compares to EIW. Personally, I
don't like Animal Rights, but again that's just my opinion.
I'm working on finding a machine that will run DISK, but till then...no
opinion. I can only play the three songs, two of which are on other
albums.

Way back when it first came out it worked. I think the problem with it is
that it doesn't like certain upgrades of Windows '95 (and certainly not
'98). It also depends on your CD drive's capabilities. It was recorded in
a really odd way-some computers can't even read the directory structure...
