i just thought that "moby sinks the titanic" would be a cool name for
a MST3K-quality B-movie or short film at least...
think of it, A big xpensive ship comes cruising along the ocean when
all of the sudden, it gets rammed in the side by a big white whale
singing "all that i need is to be loved....can't you take this out of
me?..."
now that would be awesome!!
All this talk about Move and Into the blue is leaving me clueless.
None of my local stores have Moe or EIW Remix, or any singles! Last
time I went on vacation, i saw a lot o' Moby stuff at a Camelot
records store (pretty good sttore, they stock stuff like Negativland
that nobody has...)
Well next time I see move i'm buying it without hesitation...
I KNEW permanent green sampled Jacko-boy!!! I wonder if ol' mikey
knows...
I tried that thing at rolling stone online a while ago. It's neat, i
gave EIW 5 stars (duh)
and that article in 95, the great white wail, that was the 1 i was
talking about that had nude pics of him...definitely go to yr local
library and check it out and photocopy it...
on 2nd thought, maybe RSOnline has it somewhere....
Love that quote about "stop that hissing thing, you sound like a brian
eno record"!!! MST3K is the best show!! And whoever wanted to start a
South Park/MST/pc Gamer/other non-moby list, can i join?

BT is an awesome techno artist. His most well known track is "Blue Skies",
which featured Tori Amos vocals. His real name is Brian Transau, and he is a
very cool guy.
His new album is called "ESCM", and it is definitely worth picking up.
Hope that answers all your questions about BT. Sorry this had nothing to do
with Moby, but everyone seemed to be wondering.

No need to worry, this isn't anything out of the normal. Actually, you
don't see it but daily there are people subscribing and unsubscribing.
Bit by bit the list continues to grow and get stronger. The only reason
that you saw those two emails is because they were worded differently
than most requests. A filter normally catches them and I take care of
it as soon as conveniently possible.
And this is for Ryan Taylor: Your message entitled "Doh Bart!" didn't
show up because it got caught in the above mentioned filter and I forgot
to forwarding it through. I apologize. :(

personally, i don't care if moby uses DAT, or anything else. i don't care
if he uses that little playskool radio w/ microphone attached! his music is
good, and that's what i like. hopefully, i'll see him in concert someday &
i just want to go to see him & hear his music. if it's on DAT, that's OK.
@ least i'd get to see him. i read that whole transcript of that little tif
that went on... i don't understand any of this stuff because i'm not a DJ
and i've only been listening to Moby for a couple of years. i think any
form of music is amazing and it is wrong to bitch a person out for the way
they perform it. maybe it's because i'm jealous that i have little, if any,
music talent in me, and i think that anyone who can produce any musical
sound is amazing. anyways, i'm rambling. i don't want to bring up that
whole argument that went on, i just felt that i should say something. i
agree w/ u clay, i just like the music. but, i also like that fact that
moby is a nice guy... or so i've heard.

this is going to sound stupid...but go to the library..usually the well
funded ones have past issues of mags bundled in book form and are used as
reference..i have seen rollingstone ..entertainment weekly..etc done like
this ..also try half price book stores for old issues of mags and they
usually only cost like 50 cents to buy

I feel real guilty sending this out, but if it's to help some people...
http://www.masterbeat.com/audio/loving%20you%20more.ram
This is a 1:20 min real audio sample of BT's "Loving You More," (my
favorite bt). It's on his album, IMA, and was in the top ten on Groove
Radio of last year. "Blue Skies" was in the top ten in 1996.
Those who have ESCM, how is it compared to IMA? Is "Love, Peace, and
Grease" one of those tracks, cuz they currently play that on Groove.
And is he the one singing on "Loving You More?"
Please answer my questions privately cuz I don't want to cause a big
fuss. Thanks - Alvin
P.S. - Drew and Dan C. Thanks for the tip on the Details interview
with Moby. I'll try it. And as far as the DAT subject. All I have to
say is... DAT's OK!!! And Rekkit --> Change is good on the logo, but I
still think he could have come up with a better one than that twiggy
thing. Oh, and one more thing. I saw the Moby Nude pic (thanx again,
Drew). My opinion, Michael Stipe is sexier with his apendix scar! ;)

Here's a question for you die hards.... does anyone know the source of the chant in the middle of "Novio?"
1) Did Moby actually have studio people come in, or did he sample it?
2) If it's a sample, where's it from?
3) Does anyone have any idea what it means, translated into English???
