I haven't heard the Michael Jackson remix, but "Permanent Green" does have a
Michael Jackson sample in it.
Also, I met BT a few days ago at the Virgin megastore in L.A.. A very cool,
very nice guy if you ever get to meet him.

Well Seduction hails from England (not sure exactly where) and he's
definitely one of my favourite Dj's.
His music is known as happy hardcore and I Dj with it too - so if anyone
liked the 4 beat mix and wants to hear more of this kinda stuff then let

sorry, this is basically what i meant, synth, sequencer, anything
electronic. i asked because i played a few tracks off of animal rights
for my girlfriend who plays violin. when she heard the tracks with the
violin, i told her that it was done electronically, not by real
musicians. she was a little upset that something nonhuman could do
something so well that she has been practicing for over ten years. ;)

joakim,
the violins on Animal Rights were done by a human being. namely, hahn
rowe and a very talented one at that. look at the Animal Rights liner
notes and Moby thanks him for that on NOW I LET IT GO and LOVE SONG FOR
MY MOM. i also read on another interview (i can't remember where) but
he also thanks him again for all the help he did for Moby. so rest
assure your g/f that the violins were done by a human being. - Alvin

Tell your girlfriend not to get upset. I was going to reply earlier, but
then didn't because everything else I replied to recently was just one many
replies, and usually not the first. So, here goes.
The violins on "Now I Let It Go" and "Love Song for My Mom" are NOT
synthetic. In fact, they are the only tracks on the entire Animal Rights
album not played by Moby. The violin was played by Hahn Rowe, according to
the liner notes to both the import AND domestic version of Animal Rights.
And the first song on the US Animal Rights is "Dead Sun," which is also on
the Little Idiot cd.

4 tracks, they also had Hymn, and a GO single w/ Analogue, Low Spirit, and
Woodtick. The Come On Baby was gone. :-(

It appears that they're underinformed. :)
BTW, I found the May 4, 1995 Rolling Stone magazine in my local library
today, and read the Moby article "MOBY: The Great White Wail". It was
probably the second best Moby article/interview I've ever read, after
the 1993 Details one. Moby had some really insightful things to say.
The article concluded with a neat quote from Moby, "...life is so messy
in the nicest way." :) If you haven't read this article, you should
definitely check it out.
BTW2, the US 6-track version of the Move EP is remains my favorite Moby
release (at least until his next album ;) -- so get it if you don't
have it yet! It's easily worth the ~US$10 price. Then, once you have
it and love it, get both UK Move 12"s (which include the 'Hard Trance
version' of "All That I Need Is To Be Loved", and the full 6:24 mix of
"Move (You Make Make Me Feel So Good)" that was severely edited on the
CD EP/single).

moby looks real cute and all, with his little sock, but unfortunately,

but the nude photo makes up for it!
i wonder where they got that from? did moby agree to pose for playboy or
was it a photo from somewhere else? if he did, i am kind of disappointed,
but, life goes on, even though i just supported playboy by spending my money on
their exploitation. :(
not a very big photo....

i doubt it will last long. it runs fron 15-$20.
I like all of the Move E.P. personally, its one of those CDs you have to
listen to all the way through. I think all those songs should be a soundtrack.
it starts with the opening theme (Move) then the action comes in (ATINITBL)
then maybe some driving or city scape (Morning Dove). Then cut back to the
main characters theme with a harder twist (Move Disco Threat). The final
conflict erupts with lots of tension(unloved symphony). then it ends with he
final scene and credits(the rain falls and the sky shudders).

It's the one with Move (You Make Me Feel So Good), All That I Need
Is To Be Loved, Unloved Symphony, and Rain falls. I think. This is from

it's missing Move (Disco Threat) but I'm not sure if the other missing track
is Morning Dove of Rain Falls and the Sky Shudders. Anyone wanna help me out

Low Spirit, Analog, & Wood Tick, It is CD, and it has a cheezy cover. (Red &

three of those, except they' mixed into each other mix. I don't know where

That's because (as far as I know) Ambient consists of songs from various
demo tapes Moby made as early as 1988 or 1989. Instinct was in a hurry
to release Moby albums, so (again, as far as I know -- correct me if I'm
wrong) they crufted Ambient together from various Moby demos in their
posession, without his consent or involvement.
(Anybody at Instinct wanna clarify the details?)
