Just a little announcement: The Mobility archives are now searchable
by keyword. This means that if for example you want to find out what
was said about the Mover mix of "Go", but don't remember when it was
discussed on the list, you can simply enter "mover", click the Search
button, and links to the applicable archive files will be returned
for your perusal. What a concept. :)
The ICE search engine is kind of crude, and is case-sensitive. So
a search for "gmotfotw" will not check for "GMOTFOTW". Also, words
that are very frequently used, such as "love", are not indexed. But
hey, it's a lot better than nothing!
The Mobility list archives are at http://www.moby.org/archives/

I haven't heard any other early Prodigy songs other than "Poison", or the
Chemical Brothers remix of "Voodoo People" (from the MTV Amp compilation).
I don't even know if "Voodoo People" is older or not?

ROTFLMAO. That is one of the funniest things I have heard in a while, and
the sad this is that it's true. Oh well...it may not be innovative, but it's
listenable..

Can't say I agree with you here. While Prodigy did change their style
between Experience and Music, it was definately a change for the better. The
tracks became more complex and melodic, and the experimental tracks at the
end of MFTJG are proof of this. Besides a few tracks, I wouldn't even put
Fat in any kind of techno section. Most of the beats sound like regular
alterna-pop drumming due to Liam's sudden interest in sounding more like a
"rock" band, and even though they try to retain their danceability, the
attempt is at best laughable. What's even more disgusting is the need to
emphasize controversy over musicianship. Smack My Bitch Up is one of the
worst and most repetitive dance songs I have ever heard. It's an obvious
attempt to garner notoriety from the media. Don't even get me started on
Keith's suddenly obnoxious behavior...
>Moby changed his style a *lot* more than previously

It's probably because Moby's guitar tracks sound honest and genuine, instead
of coming off as a ploy to entice alternateens into buying the record. Could
be because he chooses his covers better than Prodigy? ;P Anyhow, Animals
Rights sounds like something that Moby needed to do, resembling a therapy
session of all his frustrations released on a CD to the public rather than
an attempt to attract a larger fanbase.
>Perhaps it's due to the fact that the Prodigy have enjoyed some commercial

Perhaps it's the fact that Prodigy made their change to GARNER commercial
success. ;P

As far as C.B., pick up the block rocking beats single. It has some great

An interesting note...when I met Moby in Chicago, I brought the Rare CD
booklet with me for him to sign. When I gave it to him, he made a remark
that it was a "poorly designed CD cover with no good place to sign it on".
Of course, the cover is mostly white, so this couldn't be the case. Took me
a while to figure out why he wasn't too green with me having him sign it. ;P
Anyhow, he signed it regardless and didn't act rudely upon it, so I was
still happy. I even got a picture with him (will be scanned and put on my
upcoming page soon).

Yes, they gave credit to Moby's sub-names in the Rare back cover, but their
descriptions were unintentionally funny. I can honestly say I burst out
laughing when they labeled Barracuda as an outlet for Moby's "trip-pop"
works. ;P
