  96. with my broken heel, a boot type footwear might be a good idea.  I've worn
  97. them to two different outings...and it seems with some 'break in' they do
  98. much better.  Bottom Line....they are comfortable for me, cost no more 
  99. than good quality mocasins, are completely historically correct, and
  100. provide that bit of protection for my heel bone.  I like mine.  I ordered
  101. my usual good quality american boot size in a wide size, which is the same
  102. size I wear in Wolverine durashock work boots.  I mention this cause if I
  103. buy K-mart tennis shoes I have to get almost 2 sizes larger to fit.  I like
  104. my Hi low trekkers so far.  Yfab, Randy

  475.  Dear list,
  476.              The fires are burning good here in parts of Montana. ItÆs
  477. been smokey all over the state for what seems like forever.
  478. 33 separate fires burning! The smoke is so bad some dayÆs you
  479. can look right at the sun and its just a dull red circle in
  480. the sky. The full moon last week was orange or red during
  481. some nights from the smokey sky. I donÆt even know if the
  482. highway will be open tomorrow for my trip to Missoula, IÆll
  483. find out at 4:00AM. Several fires are burning bad along the
  484. way. Rained a little the other night, not enough to do
  485. anything but bring down the ash on everyoneÆs vehicles.
  486.             ItÆs times like these that a lot of people must wonder why
  487. they moved to GodÆs country.
  488.             I saw two fire bombers taking off out of Billings last Sunday.
  489. These are the real workhorses of the fire firebombing
  490. business. Old converted submarine hunters turned fire hunters.
  491. I parked at the end of the airstrip as these massive aircraft
  492. vibrated the earth with the power of their turboprops as they
  493. flew onto another destination. I could see the pilots clearly,
  494. wearing head phones and sunglasses as they powered off  to the
  495. western mountains. I wished I had a big sign that said ôGod
  496. bless you!ö as I waved to them. I saw the same plane on the
  497. news the next day bombing a fire 200 miles to the west.
  498.            We have National Forest headquarters in town so bus loads of
  499. firefighters are a common sight. Last week I saw a bus load of
  500. hotshots at a gas station sucking down pop and eating burritos.
  501. ThereÆs no mistaking their green colored pants, boots and
  502. yellow shirts. A lot of Indians but people of all walks in the
  503. crew as well. All heroes. I always want to walk over and shake
  504. all their hands and tell them thanks. I heard of at least three
  505. of them dying so far fighting fires.
  506.           A friend of mine in Wyoming said two weeks ago, ôWe canÆt pray
  507. for rain this week, we have to hay.ö ààI donÆt care, IÆm praying
  508. for rain every day.
  509.           God bless those firefighters and please pray for rain.

  715. I just rec'd my pair of Arrow French boot style mocs and they are just =
  716. great.  I can wrap them all the way up to my knees.  Gonna be great for =
  717. the early bow season and keeping these Georgia ticks and chiggers off =
  718. me.

  720. I have made a few pairs of mocs in the past and they never had that =
  721. support that my feet needed.  These Arrows have nice thick soles and yet =
  722. you can still feel the ground underneath.
