Well I will admit that finding a good man is the same as finding a good woman! I was married for 8 looooong years to a women who would not even look at a gun let alone touch one! She did everything in her power to keep the young's away from our true history! Now she has a son in the rangers as a snipper and a daughter who is married to a guy that has LOT'S of guns! As for me I have a wife who shoots better, than I do, kinda humbling, love to hunt and fish and is native american!
Before you date someone some friends of mine used to say "Before you ask her out ask her if she rides horses and shoots GUNS?" (all of us old ones should remember Sky King) When I asked her she looked at me like I was nuts then as a joke said sure I do all that! BAM BAM BAM Fell in love found out she had never shot anything till we met and now if I go to a gun shop without her I sleep with the spiders (don't have a dog anymore). We spent seven months on a res together now she is going to her first Ronny this weekend! Boy I struck it rich with her!

I know this doesn't meet the list's rules but hope to just throw out my 2cents in support of women in search of a good man!

To all of you that sent your grateful comments on this sight and to me personally, thank you. I was really just making some thoughtful comments on a bad night in my life. This just seemed to be the place where they landed. But one thing nice has come out of this, we have seen more subscribers open up and say "hello" and get to know each other than before. This is a sight for historic information, but to know some of the persons and personalities who are on here has be even more informative than some of the technical detail we all get into. It has
given a chance for others to say their two bits who have never or hardly been heard from in the past. It was nice.
I will drag myself off into the distance and look for that wonderful soul who likes guns, tipis, and the smell of a good forest fire, and the new dog. Her name is Jezebel and she is a wanton hussy. Rolls over for anyone. And No, my ex-husband did not leave the dogs in the house to die. Old age got them. But they were mine. And they went to many a rendezvous with me from the 1978 Livingston, NAPR event to the Kikapoo tornado disaster a few years later. Too bad "some" men are not loving as a good dog. But with all the buffalo robes I have, I am
warm, cozy and love to snuggle around a good fire on a frosty night in a warm tipi. Nothing like it. Except to have your friends around a fire on a crystal clear night in the High Uintas or Colorado Mts. singing some good songs and passing the Son of Jug around. I didn't get to go camping again this year and am having withdrawal symptoms. Don't we all go through this sometime????
