...although most of you didn't know it until now, I would imagine!
Our friend, Angie, sent to me a stack of photos from her private
collection of when she attended a Men Without Hats concert in July 1985
in Providence, Rhode Island; USA. Also included were two photos of her
and Ivan inside the tour bus when they met, again in Providence, in
March 1988.
Finally! Finally! Finally!
They are all scanned and available online via my website for one and all
to see.
I've written a separate little HTML file for each image so that they
can be viewed in "slideshow" fashion. Just click on each image to
get to the next one in the series. The final image loops back around
to my own hats page, from where you will have entered the slideshow loop.
http://people.delphi.com/mykec/hats88.htm
is the URL you need to access. Then just click on the MWH logo at the
top of the page. That logo is now "Angie's Secret Link"! :-)
My site is best browsed at 600x800 resolution, fyi.
I didn't have time to putty up the HTML this evening so that
the borders around the pictures look fairly similar without
regard to which browser you use to view them. If you're using
Netscape they'll look great. If you're using Exploder, everything
will look really white and messy around the actual .gifs.
I'll see about getting this fixed before the end of the week.
Sorry that it took so long to get this done, Angie.
Nevertheless it is finished.
I may go back and rescan a few of the pix though as these were all
scanned in haste because my time with the scanner here at work is
quite limited.

Subject: (hats) Looking for Sideways and 21stCentury
Hello all.
Obviously I'm new to this list and new to the fact that MWH released two
CD's after PGTW.
I'm desperately seeking the CD's Sideways and In the 21st Century. I've
tried the online shops suggested by the MWH homepage I found (cdnow,
musicblvd, cduniverse) as well as a few others (cdworld, amazon.com,
oglio, etc.). Most sites list both CD's in their catalogs, but when I
order, I eventually receive a reply that every one of them is out of
stock.
Would any of you kind folks have any further suggestions? PGTW is one
of the best CD's I own, and I'm desperate to get my hands on its two
successors. (Any info on Freeways as well?)
Much thanks. I'm also in the process of ordering Ivan's newest CD.
Best wishes.

Hello all,
I just wanted to thank everyone on the list who kindly responded to my
query about locating MWH CDs. The response was overwhelming and truly
appreciated. Seeing so many people eager to help makes being a MWH fan
worthwhile. In availing myself of your advice, I've already tracked
down 21st Century and on my way to finding Sideways as well.
And I've still got The Spell to listen to yet! It's all happening so
fast. Thanks again, and best wishes to everyone. By the way, in case
anyone else is interested, I'll pass on the phone number of a great
store in Canada suggested by many list members, "HMV": 1-800-567-8468

Claude,
Where is this news on your page. I can't find it.
By the way,
Can someone help me find a rare CD? I wouldn't normally bring this to the
Hats mailing list but I am desperate. Since this is the same kinda music
I hope you all don't mind.
Poesie Noire (artist) - Poesie Noire (CD title).
Its on Antler records. The band is from Belgium.
I am also looking for :
Poesie Noire - Tales of Doom (CD title)
If anyone knows where I can find a copy of this - or someone who can copy
their CD for me I will kiss you!
I have been looking for CDs by this band for over 5 years!
OK. MWH related...... Still waiting on the remastered CD#6,7
Thanks

Hello.
I've found the best way to order these Canadian cds is directly from
Canadian cd shops.
You can call HMV in Toronto 1-800 567-8468 or Montreal 1-800-567-2442
or you can order on the net from A&B Sound in Vancouver www.absound.ca
I have used both of these places with very good results. Keep in mind when
you call HMV you are calling directly onto the sales floor so you end up
talking to whoever happens to pick up the phone. I've found if I say right
away that I'm calling from California and want to do a mail order they pay
attention...
Also the Canadian dollar is $.60 US so (if you are calling from the US) you
are getting 40% off whatever price they quote!!
Good luck. As far as I know, all the Polygram MWH cds are still in print
in Canada. You can also get Greatest Hats (different from the US release)
and Ivan's The Spell (still one of my favorite cds after a whole year), but
you can only get the 2fer from Laura (as far as I know) on this list.
Bye for now,
Rod

the early albums. He supposedly got killed!

Subject: (hats) T-shirts
Hi Hatters!
First, 1,000 apologies for the list clutter!
I have just sent out <most of> the notices for the T-shirts. The
shirts are done, and I will pick them up next week.
Doing this out of two email accounts is a pain in the rear, as I
always wind up not having everything I need at one address or the
other.
I am looking for Chris Handshaw,"Nickmeister," Ray Peterson,
"Col@upfields," Jeff Harding, Nicholas Roux, Rod McQuarrie, and
Gregor Watson. Would these people, and anyone else who ordered a
T-shirt but hasn't gotten an email notification today, please email
me? Thanks! (PS to Carl - you're all set as soon as I get the T's!
Thanks again for helping us with the 2-fers.)
Again, fellow hatters, sorry for the clutter, and I appreciate
your patience with me!
:-) Laura

Subject: (hats) CD #8 Online in mp3 format
CD#8 (The Ivan Live concert - 1997) is online now on my site.
The songs are in MP3 format. I encoded them mono since the source
material was mono (It made the files twice as small)
Also The VH1 Pop up video is online
my web site is at
