Yep. I agree. But he is still 30, and was 30 at the beginning of the series.
And he should definitely be suffering some major brain damage by now! (ha!)
If all that stuff happened to me in 6 months, I would be in that brewery so
fast you wouldn't have time to finish one beer. (hence living vicariously
through fiction!)

I had a few problems with the sci-fi twist also, but got in the spirit of
the thing, since Pular Singe was such a sweet literary tidbit. I'm hoping
that Cook will rethink the ending the series since there has been a lot
of interest. I'm hoping that is the explanation of why there is almost
too much to be resolved in one book.
Like the unknown and uninvolved Katie. Usually when Cook introduces one
of Garret's babes, she tends to have a major contribution to the plot.
Since she in no way influences the mystery or outcome, he must be saving
her for the next one. Tinnie, Maya, Belinda, even Linda Lee figured in
immediately, at least peripherally. Katie seemed to have nothing to do
with the plot.
