After a long hiatus, I finally finsied the TBC saga, reading both Water
Sleeps and Soldiers Live. I was kinda glad to see that Croaker, in a way,
gets to live forever (I'd say he does, considering his position).
Anyone know of a prequel or spin off concerning other characters? I always
wondered what might have became of the White Rose and Silent.

The Silver Spike pretty much took of the White Rose/Silent part. Are you
familiar with that one?

Silver Spike / Darkwar spoiler ...
With Silver Spike, they lived happily ever after. Or not. I guess there could
be a story or two there. Perhaps tied in with some history of Silent.
And Matthew, I read Darkwar several times but found it weak. Your review was
excellent though. You must have enjoyed the classes in school I hated. I
enjoyed your reference to the demise of the protaganist and her society. It
doesn't matter whether she was good or evil, the damage she did was extreme.
Noble or not, if you or your values do not survive at the end, was it worth it?

Let's try to keep this thread focused on Darkwar.
Please start another thread to talk about BC.

I just finished the Darkwar trilogy and enjoyed it very much. I'm a friend
of Glen's and know that he thought it was a very good saga much underrated.
I agree.
The ending was a surprise for me. The only disappointment I had was that it
seemed Marika always started something, but never saw it through to its
conclusion.
I really enjoyed the concept of the darkships, but it seems to me that in
the beginning the Mistress stood in the center, and toward the end she was
standing on the "blade" end. I could be mistaken, though.

Yes, though it's been awhile. I guess they were in that one, weren't they?
I can't remember what became of them though....
