As an example of how poorly the Dread Empire books sold, the final book is STILL available from Amazon.com. I'd be shocked if it had a second printing, so that means that first printings are still available after a decade.

I sent e-mails to Tor and the science fiction book club about six months ago telling them much the same things. The SFBC editors responded to my e-mail and thanked me for my suggestion. I never heard back from Tor.
I also posted a message at the print-on-demand message board for Wildside books, suggesting that Cook's backlist be published via print-on-demand. The publisher said he would put them on a list for consideration. Perhaps if more people expressed their interest for reprint of old Cook books or new ones, something may get done. The Wildside web site is www.wildside.com.

<<Maybee we should send somethig to TOR or Roc letting them know there are a

Tor is connected to another print-on-demand service - Holtzbrinck
Publishers (http://www.ebookyes.com/) (owed by the same folks who own
Tor). I've looked through their website but can't find a contact
address (other than the webmaster's) to bug them about Cook.
