I went to Blackwater a few years ago. It a lot of fun, and pretty
easy - one guy did the whole ride on a streetbike. Lots of fast dirt and
gravel roads, and some easy trails. The scenery is good too. It would be
good for a first ride.
Most of the rides by the Racer X group are priced higher than other
similar rides - that's just the way it is. The other dual sports are usually
$40-50 for two days riding. You do get 2 lunches and a (I think) dinner out
of it.
Where do you live? There are a couple of us on the DR list in
Pittsburgh, PA.

I live in SE Virginia, It's a 330 mile drive for me to get there
(Blackwater.) If you ever want to get into the George Washington
Forest, I kind of know my way around. Lots of beautiful areas and dirt
roads to go down.

I have heard that RMX 250 clutch plates fit DR350s
and that they last longer is this true

Tony,
You are correct.
Here is what you need: seven part # 21441-07A02 (fiber plates), six part
#21451-28C30 (metal plates), and a side cover gasket. If your engine oil is
fresh then wash the bike, then lay it over on it's side (fuel off first!), and
use the shop maual torque values when reassembling.

I put in the Moose Super-Tube (made for them by Metzler)....that sucker is
THICK! I heard that its preferable to run a tough, thick tube & carry a
bottle of tire slime as insurance.

What about the springs? Should the original springs be used or RMX springs?
