I have a stock air box of a 95 dirt only DR 350 The top of the box has been
opened and some Acerbis air box vents have been installed. I am also
including the carb boot and a K&N air filter that does not even have a whole
season on it.
All of this for $60 OBO. I recommend you don't buy my stuff but get the
Vortex air box instead. But if you are on a budget...............

Hi Mike and all others,
be carefull when ordering non OEM-screws and nuts.
Suzuki sometimes uses parts (now its getting difficult in english, hope
you can
understand it) with a different "pitch" / "incline".
So a M8 screw called M08-1.25 has a pitch of 1.25 (wich is the standard
pitch for M8)
M6 is 1.0, M10 is 1.5
Some of the OEM parts have a "finer pitch" like M10-1.25
Be carefull if you don't want to ruin your threads (like I did once) and
compare the
part you want to replace with "standard screws".
Another thing is the strength od fastness of the screws.
Most screws are 8.8, some are 10.9 or even 12.9 (the higher, the stronger)
Screws made of stainless steel are usually not stronger then 8.8.
If you find a OEM screw with 10.9 or 12.9 written on it, think twice if
you replace it
with a stainless part.

Whoa, hostility!
As I said, it was my previous bike. I'm not a Harley lover, I just happened
to own one. I've also owned a Ducati 125, BSA 650, Yamaha DT250, Yamaha 125,
various Hondas, Kawasaki KX450, KTM 250 & Suzuki RM125.
I'll say just one more thing about Harley's: They really make you appreciate
a good handling motorcycle. Maybe that's why I like my DR650 so much.

Kurt, DR listers,
>spring that Norm made available?
I don't know what Norm made available. I talked to a suspension expert
at White Brothers named Steve (x238) and he was very helpful and seemed
knowledgable. They don't have a listing in their catalog for the DR650
but he had done another one for someone else and knew what I needed
considering my weight and riding style. BTW, I am 195lbs. The fronts are
Eibach 996, .47, and the rear is Eibach 892, 7.1Kg. Things went together
fine although, the rear spring is a bit larger around, so getting the
carb to airbox snorkel in was a bit tight and tricky. After a few bad
words, it went in ok. I just got it together yesterday and went for a
short ride today. It feels great so far. The ride seems more plush but
is definately stiffer. If that makes any sense. I have only about
10-12mm preload in the rear and about 14mm in the front to get the
proper sag. Even with that, the sag is only about 25-30 percent..a bit
less than the recommended 30-33%. But, it rides great.. I used 10w in
the forks. I may go to 15w to gain a little more damping..we'll see.
>Also, do you have a close-up of the WB chain roller?
No, but I can easily snap a couple of shots w/the digital camera and
e-mail them to you. I have a bit of a busy week so it may be a few
days..
There are 2 rollers. The stocks ones are just pieces of what seems like
hard plastic rollers with no bearing spinning on a sleeved bolt. The new
ones are slightly bigger around (they are the smallest they make), and
are made of a rubber material like a rollerblade wheel and have a nice
sealed bearing. Seemed to me like a much better way to go. If you have a
White Brothers catalog (offroad #22), they are on page 179. They are the
35mm ones.

I believe that a dirt only wheel will fit as they went to the cushionless
hub in the late model DRSE350's and they take the same sprocket as the dirt
model. This is a place to start your search anyway.

Hi, I am looking for a spare rear wheel so I can have a dirt only tire and a
street tire to swap out. I have a '99 DR 350 SE, do you know where I might
find
a used wheel and what years would fit on my bike?
