Go to www.whitebros.com - you can get the phone #'s there. Sorry it took me
a couple of days to get back to you - I've been out of town. Get the part
#'s from my first note and give them a call. If there is any confusion get
back with me (I have the guy's name I talked with written down at my office -
he was recommended by Progressive Suspension as their most knowledgable
salesman). Please let me know if I can be of further help!

I just returned from an all day riding trip here in Baja, i think we covered
around 250 miles, to you guys that ride down here often, the baja 500 course
is already marked, we ran across with about 50 guys from the US riding in
the high sierra, it was great, well now for the question.. One thing came to
mind as i was hitting a pine root hidden in the trail, the front forks are
too soft!!
What can i do to make the perform better?? i already changed the oil but
they're still to soft.
What products are available for the 350 drse fron forks??

Pedro,
We really need to talk. I have visited Baja a number of times on various DR's,
and have found that .46KG straight wound springs with 20wt oil preloaded 3/16th
inch is as good as it gets unless your trying to jump vado's or want to spend a
lot of pesos. The cartridge emulators are an improvement but are just a band
aid, when major surgery is required on the 97 and earlier DR350SE model
Suzuki's. When you get the front fixed your going to hate the rear. Hope this
makes your day and hope someday you will show us some pine roots in Baja rather
than all those stickery things. Norm

To all riders interested in the roadless initiative:
Please read the following that I received on a list that you may not be
on. I hope to see you all San Diego County riders there at the meeting.
If you are not in San Diego County, please read on, there is a link
below where you can find locations in your state (or county) where there
are meetings.
It could mean our being able or NOT being able to ride in many of the
offroad areas we all love. Please pass this along to anyone you know who
may be interested.
Thanks, Wayne Marsula'

The 25 page Executive Summary of Scoping Comments stated on page 11
that "Those (comments) addressing recreational access deal primarily
with the issue of restrictions on motorized access, particularly
off-road vehicle access."
It continues, "Probably the most contentious issue of the entire debate
over roadless area protection is the question of whether motorized
access will be or should be restricted."
Also stated, "Many are apprehensive that this may lead eventually to
the closure of all National Forest System lands to motorized
recreational use. This perception inspired a barrage of protests from
individuals and
recreational organizations."
Many of the pro-access writers expressed the positive aspects of the
OHV community (i.e. vol. trail projects, family participation, respect
for the environment, etc.) related to forest use.
The report also noted that..."(OHV) Management is the solution to this
issue, not expulsion!"
I would encourage you to go to the following website to download, at
least, the 25 page Executive Summary and then go to the other website
address and click/download you own state's roadless meeting schedules.
The roadless meetings will start in the next few weeks and run into
June.
