  34. you probably don't want to use oil as it attracts dirt .use a cable luber and 
  35. cable lube     
  36. but the cables are 4 years old so just replace them with new ones . Motion 
  37. Pro has a set you can get from the dealer for $28.00 or Thumper Racing for 
  38. $32.00

  59. I've got a 93 DR350S and have just installed the Kouba links from Norm, =
  60. but when going to upgrade the rear spring I found the shock was on its =

  62. What should I do, should I recondition the shock? how hard is this ? Or =
  63. should I go for a new one, official or other ? Can I still use my new =
  64. uprated spring ?

  125. =20
  126. 75 US-$).

  175. are willing to trim a bigger 5 inch rear. Cant see the point myself.

  178. Kenda on the back and let rip !

  219. Looks like the way to go is to find some kind of abrasive polish for
  220. metal/glass/plastic after rubbing with wet, very fine sand paper. And lots
  221. of time of course. I'm in the UK and unfortunately don't recognise the
  222. products mentioned but there must be equivalents.

  224. I already use plastic restoring stuff like you would use on a car interior,
  225. plastic bumpers etc, which helps, but tends to dry out too quick or get
  226. washed off, so not perfect.

  252. I always worry that I come across the wrong way in emails. In case anyone
  253. wonders, I dont take many things seriously, apart from looking after my
  254. family. Bikes are just for play aren't they ???

  256. Oils - my air cooled (not neglected) DR kills normal oil in less than a few
  257. hundred miles
  258. (gear change notchy). Semi synthetic not much better. Fully synthetic -
  259. aaaah ! - much better! No probs at 900 miles when I change it anyway.

  262. neutral and you can feel it dragging. My water cooled KLX runs cooler and is
  263. always smooth, as I'm sure the DRZ will be (and hence, perhaps doesnt need

  266. BUT - you have to consider what happens to the clutch particles as it wears,
  267. floating around in your oil. Especially off road. Hence you still need to
  268. run short oil change intervals even if your sexy synthetic, gold plated
  269. stuff still has a high shear strength.

  325. I'd rebuild.  It's not that hard.
  326.  
  327. Most likely you just need a fluid change, plus a new seal if the old
  328. one's leaking.  Total cost there:  Perhaps US$50-100 (not sure of the
  329. seal cost).
  330.  
  331. And while you're at it, upgrade to GoldValves, creating a custom-valved
  332. shock for you and your riding style.  Perhaps another US$150.
  333.

  381. don't know about Eibach. Here are the dimensions of the stocker:

  413. I run Castrol GTX 10W-30 in my '95 DR350. I ride strictly dirt and I push it
  414. HARD.
  415. I've never had any real problems other than a few drops being burned after a
  416. long weekend. I change
  417. my oil after every 20 hours or so depending on how hard I actually ride. I live
  418. in Texas where the weather
  419. changes almost day to day. We've had some really nice weather lately (70's and
  420. 80's F) so I might have to
  421. reconsider the viscosity when it gets warmer (100's F).
