  32. Part 4 The Light Shines (What Makes A Real Hero)
  33.  
  34. When the flash of light faded Buffy found herself standing next to wh=
  35. at
  36. she
  37. could identify only as an angel.
  38.  
  39. "My name is Linda, and I'm here to tell you that super powers don't m=
  40. ake
  41. you a hero. Look!" Linda said.
  42.  
  43. Buffy saw a firefighter running back into a burning building that has
  44. started
  45. to fall. Just as the building collapsed she saw that the firefighter =
  46. had
  47. made=20
  48. it out carrying a small crying  child.
  49.  
  50. "See Buffy," explained Linda, "A hero puts the safety of others befor=
  51. e
  52. anything else. The firefighter had no super powers and he knew he mig=
  53. ht
  54. have died but, still he went back for a little girl."
  55.  
  56. "Like, that=92s his job." said Buffy.
  57.  
  58. "Very well, let's try another approach," replied Linda.
  59.  
  60. The light once again engulfed  them both. When it cleared Buffy found
  61. herself looking down from a hill. She saw a small boy walking on a
  62. frozen
  63. pond, the ice broke, and he fell in. She then saw people who had been
  64. passing by stop to form a human chain. They pulled the small boy out =
  65. of
  66. the freezing water to safety.
  67.  
  68. Linda once again appears at her side. "You see Buffy, they didn't kno=
  69. w
  70. the
  71. child. It wasn't their job, but they risked their lives to save a
  72. child=92s.=20
  73. That's all it takes to be a hero."
  74.  
  75. Buffy wiped the tears from her eyes and said "I understand now, I'm
  76. ready
  77. to go back."
  78.  
  79. Linda waved her hand and Buffy found herself back in the alley. She t=
  80. hen
  81. noticed that on her arm was a crystal band. She then heard a voice in
  82. her
  83. head, "This crystal band will help you stand against the evil one.
  84. Remember
  85. that even in your Darkest Hours, when all seems hopeless and lost tha=
  86. t
  87. the
  88. light will always dispel the darkness in which evil grows."
  89.  
  90. Part 5 The Light Shines (Angules)
  91.  
  92. As Buffy started to approach the warehouse where Catherine and others
  93. were, a female vampire jumped from out of the shadows, "Well, if it
  94. isn't
  95. the little Slayer. When I give Catherine your head everyone will know
  96. the
  97. name of Vik-" the vampire started to say just as a stake is driven in=
  98. to
  99. her
  100. heart. "Girlfriend you talk to much." said Buffy.
  101.  
  102. Buffy entered the warehouse from the roof. Moving from beam to beam=
  103. =20
  104. she watched as Angelus stood next to the evil witch, their hands lock=
  105. ed
  106. together in a lovers embrace.
  107.  
  108. Buffy jumped from the beam she was standing on doing a back flip. She
  109. landed in front of two vampires who don't even have time to notice sh=
  110. e's
  111. there. She then ramed a stake through each of their hearts.
  112.  
  113. Buffy turned to Catherine and said "Ok, this is between you and me. L=
  114. et
  115. my friends and Angel go!"
  116.  
  117. Buffy then turned to hear Angelus  laughing. He looked straight at he=
  118. r
  119. and
  120. said, "You little fool! Did you really think that I loved you. There
  121. never=20
  122. was an Angel. It was just a way to get a Slayer to leave me alone. Bu=
  123. t,
  124. I=20
  125. must admit it was refreshing to find a virgin these days."
  126.  
  127. Buffy yelled, "No! I don't believe it.   Angel did  love me!"
  128.  
  129. Angelus turned toward Catherine, once again wearing the face of Angel=
  130. .
  131. "Poor Slayer, I can't believe you are so gullib--" Angelus starts to
  132. say, but,
  133. is stopped by an arrow that has pierced his heart. Surprise shows on =
  134. his
  135. face
  136. as the turns to dust.
  137.  
  138. The other vampires turn to see Xander standing next to Buffy a crossb=
  139. ow
  140. in
  141. his arms. "No one! makes the girl I love cry!" Xander said as he thre=
  142. w
  143. another crossbow to Buffy "Just like old times Buffster, lets
  144. Rock-N-Roll."
  145.  
  146. When Buffy turned to catch the crossbow she looked at Xander. His dem=
  147. on
  148. face was showing, but in his eyes, she saw love. "Ok Xand, lock & loa=
  149. d=20
  150. lets kick some undead butt!"
  151.  
  152. Part 6 The Light Shines (The Witch)
  153.  
  154. Xander & Buffy started fighting back to back and the vampires began t=
  155. o
  156. fall. After they had run out of arrows they grabbed a chair, breaking
  157. off=20
  158. the legs to use as stakes.
  159.  
  160. As Catherine raised her hands to cast a spell she was grabbed from
  161. behind.
  162. She spun around to face a very mad Xander. "You hurt Buffy and that
  163. makes me mad!" growled Xander.
  164.  
  165. As Xander prepared to kill her, Catherine called out to the red werew=
  166. olf
  167. to
  168. attack.  The wolf leaped into the air toward Xander, who was prepared=
  169.  to
  170. fight for his life. When the beast suddenly changed course in mid-air
  171. landing on top of the witch. It began to rip the body apart. Xander h=
  172. ad
  173. to
  174. turn his head. The creature ripping the witch apart had once been his
  175. best
  176. friend. As Willow tore out the throat of the witch there was blood
  177. flowing
  178. everywhere.
  179.  
  180. With Catherine dead the other vampires fled into the night. Buffy cam=
  181. e
  182. over to stand by Xander and said "I'm Sorry Xand, I wish there was
  183. something that I  could do."
  184.  
  185. "Just hold me Buffy, Please!" Said Xander, tears of blood running dow=
  186. n
  187. his
  188. face.
  189.  
  190. Part 7 The Light Shines (Out Of Darkness)
  191.  
  192. Buffy did just that. They both jumped when they heard a familiar voic=
  193. e.
  194. "Ok after this we really will have to step up your training."  Buffy =
  195. and
  196. Xander both turned to see that Giles had been turned back.
  197.  
  198. "U--uh G-guys has any one got a blanket?" the voice causes the three =
  199. to
  200. turn around to see a naked Willow. Xander quickly removed his cloak a=
  201. nd
  202. put it around Willow. "Thanks." she said.
  203.  
  204. "Hey, anything for my best bud," answred Xander.
  205.  
  206. The four heroes walked out of the dark warehouse into the light of a =
  207. new
  208. day. Buffy heard a cat meow and smiles. She knew that the world would
  209. always be safe as long as there were Feline Mages.
  210.  
  211. Next The Invasion Part 1
  212.  
  213. The Song, The Good Guys & The Bad Guys that Buffy sang came from
  214. the movie the Return of Captain Invincible. I don't remember who owns
  215. it.
  216. The characters of Kal-El and Linda are owned by DC Comics, Peter is
  217. owned by Marvel.

  225. The Invasion (3/?)
  226.  
  227. Disclaimer In Part 1
  228.  
  229. Buffy and Xander arrived at the library to see Willow crawling under a
  230. large piece of machinery.
  231.  
  232. Buffy walks over to it and gives it a kick.  Which causes it to tremble.
  233. Willow crawls out from under the machine as quick as she can.
  234.  
  235. "Slayer, the device is ready to test." Said Willow
  236.  
  237. "Then show me this other world." Commanded Buffy
  238.  
  239. Willow moves over to the machine and starts to type commands into the
  240. keyboard.  In just a mater of seconds the machine starts to rumble.  The
  241. lights all over town begin to flash as the machine draws more and more
  242. power.  Then a bright beam of light surges from the machince hitting the
  243. wall, then, it starts to widen.  Then in a flash the gateway is opened.
  244.  
  245. "There you have it using science and magic the first interdiminisonal
  246. portal." Stated Willow
  247.  
  248. Buffy turns grabs one of her vampire menions and throws him in the portal. 
  249. In a flash he's gone, a second later he can be seen on the machines viewing
  250. globe.  It shows him standing outside of Buffy's house.
  251.  
  252. "You've done good Willow." said Buffy puting her arm around Willow
  253. "But, if anything goes wrong, then, well I'll think of something."
  254.  
  255. Buffy turned to Spike "Get everone ready.  We have a new world to
  256. conquer"
  257.  
  258. A few hours later the largest army of demons, vampires, werewolves, and
  259. other creatures of evil stand at the ready. They are about to march through
  260. the portal at the command of the Slayer.  They would feed good on this
  261. new world.
  262.  
  263. "Slayer!" called Willow "We have a small problem!"
  264.  
  265. Buffy reached over grabed Willow around the neck lifting her off the
  266. ground. "Problem! what kind of problem!"
  267.  
  268. "UH! <Cough> Please! <Cough> Slayer!" Cried Willow causing Buffy to
  269. remember that she was the only one who knew how the machine worked. 
  270. So, she released her hold causing Willow to fall to the ground.
  271.  
  272. "It's just that only five people can pass through the portal.  I have to 
  273. create another one on the other side.  Then, we can open the portal all 
  274. way.  Then, that will allow the army to pass through." Said Willow
  275.  
  276. "Very well!  You will accompany me to build your machine along with
  277. Xander, Spike and Luke." Said Buffy
  278.  
  279. The five enter the portal and find themselves transported to another 
  280. Earth.  The vampire that Buffy had sent through eairler awaited her.
  281.  
  282. Later as Buffy entered the school.  With Xander, and her minions she was
  283. approached by principal Synder.
  284.  
  285. "So, there you are you little trouble-maker." Said Synder grabing Buffy's
  286. arm. "Your coming with me.  We'll just see wha..."
  287.  
  288. Before he could finsh his sentence Buffy ramed her hand through his chest. 
  289. It came out the other side holding his heart. "NO ONE TOUCHES ME!"
  290. Said Buffy dropping his heart to the ground.
  291.  
  292. Buffy then walked away leaving the dead body of Synder laying on the
  293. floor.  She continued toward the library to a meeting with her other self.

  305. Her Darkest Hour 2 Darkness Falls

  311. Part 1 Darkness Falls (Hospital)
  312.  
  313. Buffy had just entered the Sunnydale Hospital to see Angel.  To her
  314. surprise he was to be released that day after only 3 weeks during whi=
  315. ch=20
  316. she came by every day to talk to him about their future together.
  317.  
  318. As she approached his room she saw that Giles, Xander & Willow were a=
  319. lready=20
  320. there, and just like the old days Xander & Angel were fighting.  She
  321. entered the room to see Angel looking at Xander with murder in his ey=
  322. es
  323. yelling, "I am not going to leave here in a wheelchair!" Xander in hi=
  324. s usual
  325. care-free way said  "Look for a guy who's over 240 years old, you can=
  326.  be
  327. such a girlie boy.  Besides they won't let you leave if you are not i=
  328. n the
  329. chair. It can be so much fun." =20
  330.  
  331. "Fun how?" replied Angel.=20
  332.  
  333. "Trust me." said Xander helping Angel into the wheelchair.
  334.  
  335. Just as Angel sat down in the chair, Xander let out a rebel yell and =
  336. tiltes=20
  337. the chair backwards. In one smooth motion he then spun the chair arou=
  338. nd and
  339. started pushing it out the door.  He sped down the hall at break neck=
  340.  speeds
  341. as nurses and doctors leapt out of the way.
  342.  
  343. Buffy stepped out into the hall ready to stop Xander when she caught =
  344. the
  345. look on Angel's face, which had a smile on it a mile wide.  Then she =
  346. heard
  347. him yelling "Hey Xander you are right this is fun, but is this as fas=
  348. t as you
  349. can go?"
  350.  
  351. Part 2 Darkness Falls (First Strike)
  352.  
  353. While our group was having fun at the hospital an evil plan was unfol=
  354. ding at
  355. the Hellmouth. The dark figure had used a powerful spell to bring bac=
  356. k life
  357. to one of the most evil Vampire that had ever been.
  358.  
  359. When the spell was completed, in the center of the chamber stood a 7'=
  360.  tall
  361. engine of muscle and destruction. When he growled, even the new Spike
  362. backed away.
  363.  
  364. "Soon my friend, you will have your first taste of human blood in ove=
  365. r
  366. 2,000  years." The dark figure stated as it approached the new vampir=
  367. e.
  368.  
  369. Spike who had been looking at this new vampire spoke to the dark figu=
  370. re.
  371. "What's so special about this vampire? And why do you think that he'l=
  372. l be
  373. able to destroy the Slayer?"
  374.  
  375. The Dark figure approach Spike causing him to move back a step. "He's=
  376.  not
  377. here to destroy the Slayer, only to make her suffer."
  378.  
  379. Then with a wave of its hand the dark figure freed the vampire from  =
  380. it's
  381. holding place it, looked at the Dark Figure and said, "I will not  fa=
  382. il Master."
  383.  
  384. The vampire moving at a speed that even a Formula - 4 Car would have
  385. trouble keeping up with left the chamber.
  386.  
  387. Later that night at Buffy's house, Mrs. Summers answered the door to =
  388. see a
  389. very tall man wearing a Gas Company uniform. He looked at a clip boar=
  390. d in
  391. his hands then back to her, saying "Is this the Summer's house?"=20
  392.  
  393. "Yes!" answered Mrs. Summers "How can I help you?"
  394.  
  395. "I'm with the Gas Company. We've been having reports of gas leaks in =
  396. the
  397. neighborhood, so, the boss wanted us to go from house to house checki=
  398. ng
  399. the gas levels. May I come in?"
  400.  
  401. As she turns around to open the door wider she answers "Of course. Co=
  402. me
  403. in.  We don't want to take a chance with something serious like that!=
  404. "  She
  405. missed the evil grin on the man's face. After entering and closing th=
  406. e door
  407. the screams began.
  408.  
  409. Part 3 Darkness Falls (Mom)
  410.  
  411. Later that night Willow and Buffy arrived at Buffy's house. Willow ha=
  412. d
  413. been helping Buffy & Giles look up some old prophecies and had arrang=
  414. ed
  415. to spend the night at Buffy's house.  They had just got to the door w=
  416. hen
  417. Buffy notice that it was ajar.
  418.  
  419. She slowly pushed it open with her left hand while pulling out her st=
  420. ake
  421. with her right hand. One thing that she had learned in her time fight=
  422. ing
  423. vampires was that, they could be very sneaky in tricking someone into
  424. inviting them in.
  425.  
  426. As the door opened all the way she was almost over powered by the cop=
  427. per
  428. like stench. She entered the house calling out for her mom.  After re=
  429. ceiving
  430. no answer she slowly entered the kitchen. Her screams caused Willow t=
  431. o
  432. come running in from the front porch were she had been standing. Soon
  433. her screams also joined Buffy's. The  sight that confronted them was=
  434. =20
  435. that of Buffy's mom with two Stakes holding her to the wall one throu=
  436. gh=20
  437. each shoulder. The copper like smell had come from the blood that was=
  438. =20
  439. splattered all over everything.  Buffy thought that her mom was dead=
  440. =20
  441. until she heard her moan.
  442.  
  443. Several minutes later the Ambulance that Willow had called arrived an=
  444. d
  445. took Buffy's mom to the hospital. Just as the ambulance was pulling o=
  446. ut
  447. Giles's car pulled up. Giles and Xander jumped out running over to Bu=
  448. ffy
  449. who was sitting on the front porch not moving, or even acknowledging =
  450. the
  451. presence of her friends.
  452.  
  453. After Willow had explained what had happened, Giles told her to go to
  454. Buffy's room and get a some of her things together. He would take her
  455. home with him, and then call the hospital and see what he could find =
  456. out
  457. about Buffy's mom.
  458.  
  459. Part 4 Darkness Falls (Willow)
  460.  
  461. Willow was walking home when she heard a loud growl from behind her.
  462. She quickly turned around to see a werewolf approaching her.  She slo=
  463. wly
  464. moved back saying, "OZ, its me Willow, you know the girl your going o=
  465. ut
  466. with!"  But as the creature approached her she look into its eyes and=
  467.  could
  468. see that no trace of humanity remained within him. Her last thoughts =
  469. as the
  470. wolf's fangs sank into her throat was that, she really should have to=
  471. ld
  472. Xander that she loved him, but, now it was to late.
  473.  
  474. The wolf lifted it's blood stained muzzle up to the moon, howling its
  475. victory. Having completed its mission for the Master and knowing that=
  476.  it
  477. would soon have a mate.
  478.  
  479. Part 5 Darkness Falls (Xander)
  480.  
  481. Xander had just left Giles house after making sure that Buffy would b=
  482. e
  483. alright. When he heard a soft voice calling "Xanderrr...Xanderrrr..."=
  484.  He
  485. turned and started to follow the sound of the voice into the tree lin=
  486. e, not
  487. knowing why, only that he  must find out who that lovely voice belong=
  488. ed
  489. to.
  490.  
  491. He had just entered the tree line when he was grabbed from behind by =
  492. a
  493. giant vampire. Just as the vampire was getting ready to sink it's tee=
  494. th into his
  495. throat, a voice called out from the darkness. "Mad Dog, stop! He's mi=
  496. ne!"
  497.  
  498. A dark figure steps out of the trees making Mad Dog loosen his hold o=
  499. n
  500. Xander, but not enough to let him escape.  As the figure approached
  501. Xander, the hood that had been covering it's face fell back. And upon
  502. seeing the face of the one controlling the vampire Xander asked, "Amy=
  503. ,
  504. why I thought that we were your friends?" =20
  505.  
  506. "Oh Xander, you may have been Amy's friends, but, she's gone now and=
  507. =20
  508. this body is mine. I mean, did you really think that you could keep m=
  509. e
  510. imprisoned in a school trophy?"
  511.  
  512. Part 5 Darkness Falls (Giles)
  513.  
  514. Several days later Buffy has still had no success in trying to find W=
  515. illow and
  516. Xander. Her mom was still in the hospital in a coma. Buffy she had al=
  517. so
  518. just found out that her dad had been killed in a car wreck. He had be=
  519. en
  520. coming to see her mother at  the hospital.
  521.  
  522. Buffy was opening the door to Giles house using the key that he had g=
  523. iven
  524. her. She had been staying with him ever since the attack on her mothe=
  525. r
  526. since she didn't feel safe in her house any more.  She had just opene=
  527. d the
  528. door to see Giles standing as still as a statue.
  529.  
  530. As she started to get closer, she notice that the mirror in front of =
  531. him. It
  532. reflected a female head, sitting on the table in front of him, and th=
  533. at it had
  534. snakes for hair. Buffy quickly recalled the story of Medusas, she qui=
  535. ckly
  536. grabbed a blanket and threw it over the head. Then using the blanket =
  537. she
  538. picked it up and quickly (hurled) it all into the fire. The head expl=
  539. oded into
  540. flames.
  541.  
  542. She turns to see that Giles has been turned into stone. Then she hear=
  543. d the
  544. window break and turned to see two werewolves enter the room. One of
  545. them had red  fur.  Behind them, was Xander, who's face reflected the
  546. demon within him quite well.  >From behind Xander stepped Amy.
  547.  
  548. "Well, it looks like you are all alone now little Slayer. You'll neve=
  549. r know
  550. who that you can trust again. You never should have challenged me. If=
  551.  I
  552. was you, I'd run!"
  553.  
  554. Buffy turned and ran out the door into the night with the evil laught=
  555. er of a
  556. witch and vampire behind her.
  557.  
  558. When Buffy reached Angels house she raised her hand to knock on the
  559. door. It was pulled open to show Spike & Druscilla standing there wit=
  560. h
  561. Angelus.  "Well Buffy, I guess your running out of places to hide. Bu=
  562. t keep
  563. running you might just get lucky." said Angelus laughing.
  564.  
  565. Buffy turned and ran  from Angel=92s house. Tears were streaming down=
  566.  her
  567. face. She ran until out of breath then collapsed. In a dark alley, th=
  568. e past few
  569. days  began to flash in her mind. She relived everything that had hap=
  570. pened:=20
  571. Her mother being attacked and put in a coma; her dad dead; Xander now=
  572.  a
  573. vampire; Willow being turned into a werewolf;  and Giles getting turn=
  574. ed
  575. into a stone statue. Then Angel going back to being Angelus.
  576.  
  577. She felt that she had finally hit the bottom of a seemingly bottomles=
  578. s pit as
  579. everything that she had worked for had been taken from her. She was r=
  580. eady
  581. to give it all up.  Let another be chosen she wearily thought. She th=
  582. en felt
  583. something rubbing against her leg and looked down into the furry face=
  584.  of a
  585. small black cat. It had a white belly & paws, one of which had a smal=
  586. l black
  587. spot on it. It made Buffy think of a sock with a hole in it.
  588.  
  589. She reached down picked up the small cat and begin to pet it. When sh=
  590. e
  591. heard the cat began to purr for the first time that night she felt sa=
  592. fe.
  593.

  618. Giles enters the library to find Buffy and Xander in a lip lock.  Like 
  619. usual he grabs her shoulder and spins her around, "Enough! It's time to 
  620. get to work" he started to say.
  621.  
  622. Buffy, using her slayer strength, threw Giles across the room.  The sound
  623. of broken bones crunching then, doing a double back flip, lands right in
  624. front of his face. (giving him a good view of just how short her skirt was)
  625. "Listen G-man, I'm the Slayer and your the Watcher, so unless you have
  626. some news about how to help us take over this rat infested town then shut
  627. the hell up and watch" Said Buffy as she reached around behind her and
  628. pulled Xander back into the kiss.
  629.  
  630. "Remember what I told you Xand.  My place tonight.  Another damn day
  631. of this school, I need a little lover tiger." said Buffy as she walked out 
  632. the door her hips swaying from side to side in a very provocative way.

  634. After she had left Xander reached down to help Giles up "Man I wish she
  635. had never seen me.  I mean I like sex just as good as the next person but 
  636. my god eight times in one night!  It kinduh makes me wish that she hadn't 
  637. killed her mother."

  639. "Well Xander, I may just have found a way to make her very happy. Said
  640. Giles
  641.  
  642. At that moment Willow Walked in the door wearing outfit that was illegal 
  643. in 49 of the 50 states. 
  644.  
  645. Xander ran over to Willow and give her a very passionate kiss.  Which she
  646. started to return after a few seconds.  Willow pushes Xander back "God
  647. Xander what if she seen us." Said Willow
  648.  
  649. "I know, but it's so hard.....to see you everyday and not be able to hold 
  650. you like I use to." Said Xander tears starting to run down his cheeks
  651.  
  652. Meanwhile in a warehouse across town
  653.  
  654. Spike enters the room to see Angel holding a bottle of blood.  "Bloody
  655. Slayer she should have just killed me, I mean, I loved her.  And she 
  656. cut off my damn legs" Yelled Angel throwing the bottle across the room 
  657. at Spike.
  658.  
  659. "Angel, shut up!" Yelled Spike.  If she ever hears what you said she may
  660. cut off something else that you would really miss.
  661.  
  662. "I don't care if she bloody--" Angel started to say when a arrow flies
  663. through the air and into his heart causing him the exploded into dust.
  664.  
  665. Buffy does two back flips from the top of the warehouse landing in front 
  666. of Spike "Well Spike, it seems you were right, Angel was talking about me. 
  667. Oh well I will need someone to be in charge of the order.  How about you
  668. Spike?"  Buffy asked turning toward him with an evil gleam in her eyes.
  669.  
  670. "Whatever pleases you Slayer, I am and always will be your humble
  671. servant." Spike replied as he lowered his head.
  672.  
  673. When he raised it seconds later Buffy was gone. She arrived home just a
  674. few minutes before Xander arrived.
  675.  
  676. When Xander arrived at Buffy's house he slowly opened the door shut and
  677. locked it.  He started up the stairs, when he reached Buffy's room he
  678. opened the door to see her standing there in a tight leather body suit.  
  679. It hugged her in all the right places, she quickly grabbed Xander and 
  680. through him on to the bed ripping off his clothes.  She started to kiss 
  681. him, she stopped suddenly and slapped him across the face hard. "Damn 
  682. you, you've been with her again haven't you.  I may just have to get 
  683. rid of the competition."
  684.  
  685. "No! I'm sorry. I promise I'll never kiss her again, just please don't 
  686. hurt her!" Cried Xander
  687.  
  688. "Well, that depends on just how good you are tonight." Said Buffy.
  689.  
  690. Two hours later the phone started ringing, after the tenth ring Buffy
  691. reached over and picked up the phone.  "There had better be a Damn good
  692. reason for this call OR!" Said Buffy
  693.  
  694. "We have a problem, Dru has just found a spell that allowed her to located
  695. an alternate reality.  Your not going to believe this, but it appears that 
  696. this Earth has a Slayer to and she Miss Goodie Two Shoes." Said Spike
  697.  
  698. "Ok, Get her over to the library.  And on the way pick up that Damn Willow 
  699. girl.  Tell her it's time to show if she's worth keeping alive.  I'll be 
  700. there in about..." Buffy turns looking at Xander "Ten minutes.  Looks like
  701. the Xand man may be good for one more time around the block." Buffy said 
  702. grabbing Xander and pulling him under the covers.
