Subject: (andina) Music styles, i.e. huayno, cueca
Date: 07 Jul 1999 16:07:49 -0400
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knew about the different Andean music styles
listed on CDs next to the titles of the songs.
Is there a book or glossary that describes each type?
Examples include:
huayno, cueca, motivo, caporal, morenada, packhochis, taquirari, tonada,
chunsunqui, trote, san juanito, tinku, yaravi, etc., etc.
Are these the music styles?
Thanks

Thanks for the info--it's a wonderful site. But I can't seem to access the
rythms page.
I'll keep looking for it on the site though.
