  9.         The event of the century for Telecom professionals, Sysops,
  10.         and Cybervisionaries Worldwide.  Europe is ready for its
  11.         own BBS Conference!  In the past Europe has been seen as
  12.         trailing the U.S. in terms of modem sales, tele-
  13.         communications software, and telephone network
  14.         infrastructure.  Today, the European telecommunications
  15.         market is changing and is charging ahead in various market
  16.         segments.  The European telephone net for example, is
  17.         mostly digital all the way to the end user and telephone
  18.         installations are done in record time.  ISDN and X.25
  19.         access are much more common in Europe than anywhere else.

  21.         This is why the time is right for a gala event, covered by
  22.         the press, bringing together the leaders in BBSing from
  23.         around the world.  The TWO BBSCON conference will be held
  24.         February 8-11, 1995 in the Swissotel in Duesseldorf/Neuss,
  25.         Germany.  John C. Dvorak, the noted PC Magazine columnist
  26.         will give the keynote address, and dozens of other industry
  27.         luminaries will be there.

  29.         The fees are as follows: DM 475. - (US $295) per day, or
  30.         DM 950. - (US $595) for all three days.  The conference
  31.         fees include admission to the exhibition and participation
  32.         in all workshops.  "Early-Bird" registration will be
  33.         rewarded with up to 35% price reduction.  Special "one-day
  34.         tickets" for Thursday and Friday will be available at the
  35.         door.  The fee for these tickets to the exhibition is DM
  36.         79,00 and includes participation in one workshop.  There
  37.         will also be tickets available for DM 29,00 on Saturday,
  38.         which will be for the exhibition only.  The reduced tickets
  39.         are available to generate interest and participation of the
  40.         local audience as well and student-sysops.

  42.         The majority of the time will be filled with instructions
  43.         and workshops covering subjects such as ISDN, Modems,
  44.         Internet, BBS, graphic BBS-interfaces or Data Communication
  45.         within the GSM Net.  There will be plenty of opportunity
  46.         for discussion following the workshops.  In addition to the
  47.         conference, there will be an ongoing product display by all
  48.         major hardware and software manufacturers.  Many of these
  49.         manufacturers will use the opportunity to offer special
  50.         "Sysop" discounts at TWO BBSCON.

  52.         The TWO BBSCON will be sponsered by dozens of exhibitors
  53.         and hundreds of sysops from all over Europe.  The founding
  54.         members are Gerald Meier ( Liechtenstein), Joerg
  55.         Steinhaeuser (Germany), and Tim Stryker (USA).  In the
  56.         advising commitee are impartant personalities from the
  57.         telecommunication industry such as Dr. Klaus Langner from
  58.         ELSA GmbH (Germany), Ralph-Guido Novak from Vogal Verlag
  59.         (issues PC Magazine i.e. "Chip" and "Telecom"), John C.
  60.         Dvorack from PC Magazine (USA), Dick A.J.M. Hommen from
  61.         Infoboard BBS (The Netherlands) and Jack Rickard who issues
  62.         "Boardwatch Magazine" as well as organizes ONE BBSCON (USA).

  64.         Many telecom distributors from Europe as well as the United
  65.         States such as ELSA, Online Store, BAUSCH datacom, Telelink,
  66.         Dr. Neuhaus, eSoft, Clark Development, Galacticomm,
  67.         Searchlight Software and TeleGrafix have already reserved
  68.         their slots as exhibitors and/or speakers and more are being
  69.         added every day to this list.
