  11.     INGREDIENTS ------------------------------------------------------------

  13.        1        cup   Apple - grated                                    
  14.        1/2      cup   Sugar                                             
  15.        3/4      cup   Milk                                              
  16.        1/2      tsp   Nutmeg                                            
  17.        2        ea    Eggs - separated

  19.     DIRECTIONS  ------------------------------------------------------------

  21.     Beat egg yolks, add sugar gradually; add milk, apples and nutmeg and  
  22.     beat well; stir in beaten whites; pour in crust and bake as for       
  23.     custard. Serve with or without whipped cream.                         
  24.                                                                           
  25.     Note: Custard should be baked in a moderate 350 F. oven until center  
  26.         of pie is somewhat firm.
