INGREDIENTS ------------------------------------------------------------
3 ea Apples - large
1 cup Brown sugar
1/4 cup Flour
1/4 tsp Salt
1 ea Pastry - for 2 crusted pie
3/4 cup Water
1 Tbsp Vinegar
2 Tbsp Butter
1 tsp Vanilla
DIRECTIONS ------------------------------------------------------------
Mix sugar, flour and salt, add water and vinegar. Cook until thick,
stirring constantly. Remove from stove and coll. Place sliced apples
in pie plate lined with pastry. Pour syrup over apples and cover with
top crust and bake.
Note: No time or temperature given. Bake in a moderate oven 350 F.
about 1 hour.
