Using the feature bar links
Find The Find feature helps you choose a vehicle by selecting different criteria. This feature gives you several options to choose from. You can also click the Find feature on the home page.
Home Click the Home link to go back to the CarPoint home page.
Back Click the Back link to step back through pages you have already viewed during the CarPoint session.
Help The Help link takes you to the main Help contents page.

Navigating through article topics


  1. When a list of vehicles within a vehicle category appears, click a vehicle you want to view.
    The article topic page appears; this displays information about a particular vehicle. The default page contains a description paragraph and photo of the vehicle.
  2. Click one of the ten other article topics for more information; click the titles below for a more complete explanation of these topics:

    Description
    Pricing Information
    Safety Features
    Convenience Features
    Specifications
    Repair & Maintenance
    Competitors
    Photo Gallery
    Available Reports
    Buying Service

 Sometimes information on trim levels extends below what you can see within an article topic page. Simply drag the vertical or horizontal scroll bars or click the scroll arrows to view information above, below, to the right or left of your current view. You can also scroll down or up to view other article topics.

Using Surround Video


This new technology gives the viewer the ability to see a 360-degree view of the interior or exterior of a vehicle. Each CarPoint vehicle category has several Surround Videos which show the interior of a vehicle.

Requirements:
In order to view Surround Videos you must be running on either the Windows 95 or Windows NT operating system, and viewing CarPoint with Internet Explorer 3.0, Netscape 2.x or Netscape 3.0.

To move inside the vehicle image:

  1. Place your pointer anywhere on the image.
  2. Hold down the left mouse button while dragging the mouse in any direction.
    The vehicle image moves in the direction of your pointer.

Printing text and images


If your Web browser supports printing, you can print text and images from any page in CarPoint. Simply click your mouse in the frame you want to print, select File from your Web browser's menu, and then click Print.

There are some printing problems specific to certain printers and browsers. For information about these printing problems, go to the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section of Help.


Returning to the home page


On the feature bar, click Home to get back to the home page. On the home page you can choose another vehicle through the Makes & Models, The Automakers or Find features, or read through advice articles on car shopping.

Going back


While moving through the many pages of CarPoint, you may need to return to previously viewed information.

If you are using Internet Explorer 3.0, successive clicks of the browser's Back button will step back through pages you have already viewed.

If you are using Netscape, successive clicks of the Back link on the feature bar will step back through pages you have already viewed.
