Lying conveniently near the Indus River and centrally located within
the Indus Valley Civilization, Mohenjo-Daro is easily reachable
from most other urban centers.
- From Ganeriwala: Float down the Ghaggar-Hakra River for at least
20 days to the point where it turns sharply south, then journey
west by oxcart for one day.
- From Harappa: Row down the Ravi River until it joins the Jhelum,
and from thence to the Indus, whose reliable current you will
ride for 30 days.
- From Lothal: Sail northward along the coast of the Great Sea,
enter the mouth of the Indus River, then row against the current.
The journey will take you 18 days or more, depending on the strength
of your rowers and the wind.
- From Sumer or Egypt, our esteemed trading partners: Sail eastward
across the Great Sea. Enter the mouth of the Indus then follow
the usual route upriver.
