Big role in concluding of License agreement under which Samsung Electronics, Co., Ltd. (Korea) gets source code of FineReader OCR system belongs to the efficient and well organized work of Moscow representation of Samsung Electronics, which direct mission is integration the leading Russian technologies in SamsungÆs products. Moscow and Seoul are separated by almost 8000 km, different national cultures and languages, but the presence of Samsung Research Center in Moscow makes Korean-Russian cooperation not only possible but very fruitful.

According to the contract Samsung got exclusive rights on FineReaderÆs technology in Korean market. But abroad of Korea Samsung can distribute its own OCR product only bundling with hardware or bundling with other software. So SamsungÆs OCR system shouldnÆt compete with FineReader.
