The ôNational Registration Companyö (NRC) is one of the leading registration services. Registration companies are an important structure element of the stock market. According to the contract with the ôNorilsk Nickelö company, the NRC had to hold a meeting of ôNorilsk Nickelö stockholders in June 1996 and the voting of stockholders in June 1997. The voting was automated in both cases. The complex for the automatic input of voting bulletins based on FineReader 3.0 (developed by ABBYY/BIT Software) allowed to process 1500 forms in 10 minutes.

With the use of modern computer technologies the voting results were processed quickly and easily. We are planning to use the production of ABBYY further on to guarantee high-efficiency and reliability of our projects."
