Maxxtrem is the ultimate PowerPC and takes the PowerMac platform beyond its limits. 100 % compatible with the Mac - yet we have completely redesigned the Macintosh architecture and reimplemented it from the ground up. The result: our systems offer superior performance and unmatched modularity. Expect everything you know from a conventional Macintosh, and much more!
Maxxtrem grows with your demands. Our modular concept allows you to add performance instantly when your applications need it. By simply replacing the CPU module which hosts the systems core (processor, memory, cache, etc.), you can boost your computing resources to any niveau you require.
Maxxtrem is the first Macintosh compatible on the market which complies to the open standards of today's computer world. E.g., it features a standard PC-style printer interface and boots its OS completely from the EIDE harddrive. You are thereby free to upgrade to new operating systems (such as the BeOS) at any time without modifying the hardware.

By default, the Maxxtrem shipment includes the following software packages preinstalled on harddrive and on CD:- MacOS deutsch

- MetroWerks Codewarrior Lite for BeOS
- An Office software package
