[About The Guide]
Problem with drive nn: Mirror drive was shut down.
Occurs on: SFT II and TTS.
Meaning: This error message occurs on bootup and indicates that
the file server could not properly configure a
mirrored set of drives because the mirror drive was
shut down. This is not a fatal error. However, the
problem should be investigated as soon as possible to
reduce the risk of losing valuable data.
Cause: This could be caused by a failure in the mirror drive,
Disk Coprocessor board (DCB), controller, or connecting
cables.
Solution: Ensure that the mirror drive, the DCB, and the
controller are properly seated, connected, and
powered on. Look up any additional error messages
displayed and use any suggestions found there. Use
the PREPARE utility to re-setup Hot Fix and mirroring
on the drive. If this still does not fix the
problem, exchange the above mentioned components one
by one with known good components until the problem
component is found.
