Reinita de cuerpo amarillo y espalda verde, con una fina lφnea negra atravesßndole el ojo y alas azules con dos barras blancas. Tama±o: 12 cm. ; Peso: 9 g. Audio 3 (M. Oberle). Anida en el este de Estados Unidos en campos reciΘn abandonados con arbustos. Compite por hßbitat con la Reinita Alidorada, especie pr≤ximamente emparentada, pero prefiere vegetaci≤n secundaria un poco mßs avanzada (vegetaci≤n de 5-11 a±os de edad mientras que la Reinita Alidorada prefiere vegetaci≤n de 1-3 a±os de edad). Tφpicamente inverna en AmΘrica Central. Un visitante invernal raro en las islas Vφrgenes que en los ·ltimos a±os se ha reportado con mayor frecuencia en Puerto Rico (por ejemplo, en el Barrio Cialitos de Ciales el 17 de febrero de 1998; el 2 de diciembre de 1996 en Maricao).
