The Amazon Adventure ran from 23 July to 17 Sept 1997

Project Funding

The Amazon Adventure is being funded from a variety a sources. However, most of the funding will be in the form of sponsorship from companies and other organisations. This sponsorship involved not only direct financial contributions, but loan of equipment and other products and services required to make the project happen.

The principal sponsor is Telecom Education Foundation (TEF). TEF has provided financial backing which is being used to assist with travel in Amaz⌠nia. They are also offering their practical expertise (from earlier projects such as Icebound and Seakeepers) to assist with the project setup and our communication with schools. The Amazon Adventure is part of the Telecom Explorers and Adventurers program for 1997.

I am currently also organising other sponsorship for the project is return for funds or assistance with travel and other services. However, please contact me if you are willing to assist with sponsorship or other practical:
