McDonald's Corp. started in 1955. NOT McDonald's Restuarant. Yes, Ray Kroc bought the rights to McDonald's during this time, which is why the Corp. Celebrates it's beginnings in 1955. However, they always give credit to the McDonald brothers for starting the first restaurant in California, it was Ray Kroc that had the desire to take McDonald's nationwide.
