A few months ago, we looked at how to run administrative scripts - how a systems administrator could run a script at startup, or a schedule, at user login, and more. There are many mechanisms to launch scripts at specific times and under specific conditions, but the one that came up over and over was launchd. So in this column, I will present some "launchd recipes" - code snippets you can adapt to use for your own tasks.
