New Victor 885 reaches Thor performance. Improvements in FET technology and switching technology allow the Victor 885 to handle 120A continuous (just like the now discontinued Thor). The Victor 885 provides output control from 3% to 100%. The high current capacity, low voltage drop, and peak surge capacity make the Victor 885 ideal for drive motors, while its braking options and precise control meet the demanding needs of arms and lift systems. The speed controller can be directly driven from any IFI RC unit; the Mini RC, the Isaac16 Robot Controller, or the FRC Robot Controller. We recommend using a PWM Signal Driver if you are not using an IFI RC unit.

Notes

General Notes:

The red wire (center pin) on the PWM cable connected to the Victor is an open circuit. There is no reason to disconnect this wire in the cable. The Victor does not source or draw power on this line.
Do not reverse the input polarity on a Victor. Doing this will permanently damage the unit and void the warranty.

Signal Driver Notes:

Use a PWM Signal Driver to ensure the signal from your receiver is Victor compatible.
A PWM Signal Driver is not be needed with IFI Control Systems, some receivers, and some mixers.

Fan Notes:

The Victor 885 comes with a 24 V or 12V cooling fan attached to the top of the unit.
The Victor 885 operates over a 6V-30V range, however, the fan's voltage range is smaller; 16-30 Volts.
You can purchase a optional fan, and then replace the fan supplied with the Victor 885.
