  87. of the package and its features, along with instructions for its
  88. installation.  There is over 100 pages of documentation is included in
  89. this package.

  91. BEAM COOKBOOK is a shareware program.  This evaluation version includes
  92. all features of the program, and is not crippled in any way.  You may
  93. use it for up to 30 days, without charge (see BEAMCKBK.DOC for more
  94. details).  If you like the program, and wish to continue its use after
  95. this evaluation period, you are required to pay for the program (see

  144. ===== Installation =====================================
  145.  
  146. The installation procedure for BEAM COOKBOOK is quite simple.  The
  147. package includes a program, "INSTALL.EXE", which automates the
  148. entire process.  You will need about 1.3 Mb of available disk space
  149. on the hard drive on which you plan to install BEAM COOKBOOK.

  152. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  153.  
  154. If you downloaded BEAM COOKBOOK from a BBS (or received it in the form of
  155. archive files from some other source), you will need to perform the
  156. following steps.
  157.  
  158.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  159.       directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  160.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  161.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  162.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  163.       perform this step.  If not, you should be able to obtain
  164.       directions for this from the same source from which you received
  165.       the package.
  166.  
  167.    o  Execute the "INSTALL.EXE" program which you have extracted.  For
  168.       example, if the temporary directory into which you have extracted
  169.       the BEAM COOKBOOK package is C:\TEMP, you would execute the
  170.       MS-DOS command, "c:\temp\install".

  172.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  173.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  174.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive.  The
  175.       program will ask you for a destination directory, and will copy
  176.       the BEAM COOKBOOK files to that directory.  The installation
  177.       program will copy the executable programs, documentation, and
  178.       samples (optional) in the directory of your choice.  It will make
  179.       no other changes; specifically, it will not modify your
  180.       autoexec.bat or config.sys files.

  183. delete the temporary directory FROM which you installed BEAM COOKBOOK
  184. (C:\TEMP, in the above discussion), including all its contents.
