│ Help: End of Message Command │
└────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
The lite-bar End of Message Command prompt is one of the
many custom prompts that you will find here on The File Bank BBS.
Description
After you read each message, the system will display the End of
Message Command. From this prompt you can choose from the listed
options. A help line is displayed below the prompts. As each prompt
is selected, the help line displays the meaning of each option.
Subsequent messages are chosen for you to read based on the initial
'filter' set with the read command. If you are reading your mail,
only mail addressed to you will be displayed. If you are reading
your mail and any mail to ALL, only messages fitting that criteria
will be displayed.

Options
C - Cont (continue), read next message in current direction.
If read direction is set to forward (+), the next numerically
higher message will be displayed. If read direction is set to
backward (-), the next numerically lower message will be
displayed. This is the default option, with read direction
set to forward.
N - Next, read the next message, forward read direction is
forced.
P - Prev (previous), read the previous message, backward read
direction is forced.
R - Reply, reply to the current message.
K - Kill, delete the current message (if from or to you).
T - capTure, capture the current message and download it
immediately.
E - Edit, change the body of the current message (if from you).
S - nonStop, display all of the remaining mail on the screen
without further pauses.
+ - change read direction to forward. Used by the Continue
option to read mail in numerically higher order.
- - change read direction to backward. Used by the Continue
option to read mail in numerically lower order.
Q - Quit, stop reading mail
H - Help, display help screen (you are here now).
Choose the desired option, either via moving the hilite/cursor
or pressing the appropriate key, and press ENTER.
The default answer for the End of Message Command prompt
is Continue. Pressing ENTER alone is the same as pressing 'C' and
ENTER.
Tips
For the cleanest display of mail, set the system to clear the
screen after each message. This can be accomplished using the
'(W)rite User Information' command.
