  5. I'm basically recovered from that flu like trouble that was holding me back,  
  6. but unfortunately I am going to be out of town for a week, so my e-mail will  
  7. remain a bit behind.  "questions@ardi.com" is much preferable to  
  8. "ctm@ardi.com" for such reasons.

  10. Anyway, before leaving I've put a couple new files out on ftp.cs.unm.edu:

  12.     /pub/ardi/Executor_DOS/exct19f.zip
  13.     /pub/ardi/Executor_Linux/executor.gz

  15. The former is a total replacement for our old Executor/DOS experimental demo.   
  16. The latter is a single executable that you will need to copy over your  
  17. /usr/local/bin/executor binary if you already have Executor/Linux 1.99e  
  18. installed and you want to run 1.99f.
  19.  
  20. I'm not able to get a NEXTSTEP or DOS-Commercial version of 1.99f out the door  
  21. before I leave, but barring further illness, things should get much smoother  
  22. after the holidays.

  24. BTW, with some fiddling with "-refresh" and "-applzone", we are able to run
  25.  
  26.     Maelstrom
  27.     Wolfenstein 3D (but you can't shoot under E/DOS)
  28.     NIH Image 1.55
  29.     Mac Attack
  30.     Tetris Max
  31.     Expert Backgammon
  32.     "Fatty Bear Demo"
  33.     the beginning of "Out of this World Demo"
  34.     Seahaven Towers
  35.  
  36. and a bunch of other publicly redistributable color applications.  In January  
  37. we hope to get ftp.ardi.com set up so that people can pick up binaries that  
  38. are known to work with Executor.  NOTE:  we haven't permanently shifted our  
  39. emphasis to games; we just wanted to find and fix a certain class of color  
  40. bugs.  When I get back we'll be attacking Photoshop, Nisus, Filemaker Pro,  
  41. Quark and other "big ticket" applications.
