  15. ftp.ardi.com:/pub/BleedingEdge/vesafix.zip is a replacement for E/D
  16. 1.99n's executor.exe that should fix a few problems.  This version is
  17. highly experimental, and is *NOT* a full replacement for Executor
  18. 1.99n; it merely replaces one of 1.99n's files.

  20. These fixes will of course be merged into the next full release of
  21. Executor, but we thought we'd make some of the fixes available early
  22. so that the diehard experimenters out there can play with it.
  23. Feedback on the "bleeding edge" versions will help 1.99o be more
  24. stable than it would otherwise have been, but anything in the
  25. "BleedingEdge" directory won't be tested very well.

  29. vesafix.zip             -- A replacement E/D 1.99n executor.exe that fixes:
  30.                            1) Mach64 and some other video boards only
  31.                               allow 4 bits per pixel when a VBE 2.0 video
  32.                               driver is used [the fix is untested, since
  33.                               ARDI's machines don't exhibit this problem,
  34.                               but it should work].
  35.                            2) Cycling through desktop patterns causes a crash.
  36.                            3) Cursor "paints" the screen (not a full fix;
  37.                               you also need to set the browser to "animation"
  38.                               mode with alt-shift-5 and save it).
  39.                            4) Executor 1.99n crashes right away under
  40.                               OS/2 Warp.
