  14. Due to the fact that an error was discovered in Tax Assist'91 
  15. after it had been shipped to you on issue #65, we have included a 
  16. corrected version of the program on this issue (#66) for your 
  17. convenience.  You are receiving the new version in addition to 
  18. the programs already planned for this issue.  We apologize for 
  19. the error.

  22. Everyone would like a little assistance at tax time and Tax
  23. Assist '91 is designed to provide just that for users of the 1040
  24. form.  Print out the program's data gathering forms and use them
  25. to help you collect and organize your tax information. Then, plug
  26. your information into the program's tax calculation section for
  27. an estimate of taxes owed or to be refunded. Don't worry about
  28. getting "stuck" in this program; it contains context sensitive
  29. help files (F1).

  31. The best thing about Tax Assist '91 is that it allows you to play
  32. "what if" with your taxes.  For example, what would your taxes be
  33. if you filed separately instead of jointly? Tax Assist '91 gives
  34. you a way to make tax comparisons and prepares you for a session
  35. with your accountant or tax preparer.

  37. If you plan to file your taxes yourself, be sure to read all the
  38. instructions in the IRS manuals that accompany the forms.  Tax
  39. Assist '91 is limited in scope and may not reflect all the '91
  40. tax laws that affect you. If you haven't filed before, you'll
  41. need to pick up tax forms at your local post office, library or
  42. IRS office. Don't forget or miss the filing deadline! It's just
  43. around the corner and Tax Assist '91 has some assistance for you.
