  7.     ^1Insta-View^0 is a memory-resident utility that lets you view files 
  8.  quickly and easily from anywhere!  Imagine the convenience . . . you're right 
  9.  in the middle of a program and you need to view the documentation.  What do 
  10.  you do?  You Insta-View, of course!

  13.  ^1Starting Insta-View^0

  15.     Type IV to install Insta-View.  Press the <ALT><V> key combination, 
  16.  known as the hotkey, to "pop-up" the text viewer.  If no file name has been 
  17.  specified, then you will be prompted for the file to view.  Otherwise, the 
  18.  last file viewed will be loaded and displayed.

  23.     Insta-View provides many functions.  So that you may continue viewing 
  24.  important sections of the displayed screen, you can move and change the size 
  25.  of Insta-View's text viewing window.  For systems that include EGA and VGA 
  26.  video adapters, Insta-View provides the ability to take advantage of the 
  27.  extended 43 and 50 line display modes.  In order that you may view 
  28.  documentation in the Big Blue Disk format, Insta-View understands and 
  29.  correctly formats the text so that you can read it as if you were in the 
  30.  BBD menu system.

  32.  The following is a list of Insta-View's keyboard commands:

  34.    <UP>,<DOWN>,
  35.  <RIGHT>,<LEFT> : Scroll through text
  36.   <PgUp>,<PgDn> : Scroll by screens through text
  37.    <HOME>,<END> : Go to the beginning or end of the file
  38.             <S> : Search for text (2 characters minimum)
  39.             <P> : Print text starting from current screen to end of file
  40.             <R> : Toggle ruler ON or OFF
  41.     <SHIFT><UP>,
  42.   <SHIFT><DOWN> : Shrink or enlarge the viewing window
  43.       <ALT><UP>,
  44.     <ALT><DOWN> : Move the viewing window up or down
  45.  <SHIFT><RIGHT>,
  46.   <SHIFT><LEFT> : Scroll right or left by 10 characters
  47.            <F1> : Bring up help screen
  48.            <F2> : Toggle key-repeat speed to SLOW or FAST
  49.       <F3>,<F4> : Change the text foreground and background color
  50.       <F5>,<F6> : Change the window border's foreground and background color
  51.            <F7> : Toggle the Big Blue Disk text interpreter ON or OFF
  52.            <F8> : Enter the name of another file to view
  53.                   NOTE: You may select multiple files to view by using 
  54.                         the "*" and "?" wildcard characters just as they 
  55.                         are used by DOS.
  56.            <F9> : Change the HotKey
  57.           <ESC> : Load next file if using wildcards, OR exit Insta-View
  58.             <Q> : Exit Insta-View

  61.     Insta-View provides the ability to configure itself from the DOS 
  62.  prompt by using "command line switches."  These "switches" are used by the 
  63.  program to setup or alter its performance.  Simply type IV followed by the 
  64.  list of desired "switches".

  66.  The following are the available "command line switches": 
  67.  
  68.    /C     Support switching from CGA graphics mode. Uses 16K more memory.
  69.           NOTE: This switch can only be used when Insta-View is first run.
  70.    /43    Activate in 43/50 line mode (if your monitor supports it)
  71.    /25    Activate in 25 line mode (this turns off /43)
  72.    /F     Followed by a filename (no spaces), tells Insta-View to
  73.           automatically load the file when it's called up.
  74.    /B     Activates BBD text interpretation mode
  75.    /M     Followed by '+' or '-' will activate or deactivate message printing
  76.    /WT    Followed by a number, will set the top line of Insta-View's window
  77.    /WB    Followed by a number, will set the bottom line of the window
  78.    /R     Removes Insta-View from memory if it's safe to do so
  79.    /?     Displays Insta-Views switches and their meanings
