Imagine the convenience . . . you're right in the middle of a program and you need to view the documentation. What do you do? You Insta-View, of course! ^1Starting Insta-View^0 Type IV to install Insta-View. Press the key combination, known as the hotkey, to "pop-up" the text viewer. If no file name has been specified, then you will be prompted for the file to view. Otherwise, the last file viewed will be loaded and displayed. ^1Special Features^0 Insta-View provides many functions. So that you may continue viewing important sections of the displayed screen, you can move and change the size of Insta-View's text viewing window. For systems that include EGA and VGA video adapters, Insta-View provides the ability to take advantage of the extended 43 and 50 line display modes. In order that you may view documentation in the Big Blue Disk format, Insta-View understands and correctly formats the text so that you can read it as if you were in the BBD menu system. : Print text starting from current screen to end of file : Toggle ruler ON or OFF , : Shrink or enlarge the viewing window , : Move the viewing window up or down , : Scroll right or left by 10 characters : Bring up help screen : Toggle key-repeat speed to SLOW or FAST , : Change the text foreground and background color , : Change the window border's foreground and background color : Toggle the Big Blue Disk text interpreter ON or OFF : Enter the name of another file to view NOTE: You may select multiple files to view by using the "*" and "?" wildcard characters just as they are used by DOS. : Change the HotKey : Load next file if using wildcards, OR exit Insta-View : Exit Insta-View Insta-View provides the ability to configure itself from the DOS prompt by using "command line switches." These "switches" are used by the program to setup or alter its performance. Simply type IV followed by the list of desired "switches". The following are the available "command line switches": /C Support switching from CGA graphics mode. Uses 16K more memory. NOTE: This switch can only be used when Insta-View is first run. /43 Activate in 43/50 line mode (if your monitor supports it) /25 Activate in 25 line mode (this turns off /43) /F Followed by a filename (no spaces), tells Insta-View to automatically load the file when it's called up. /B Activates BBD text interpretation mode /M Followed by '+' or '-' will activate or deactivate message printing /WT Followed by a number, will set the top line of Insta-View's window /WB Followed by a number, will set the bottom line of the window /R Removes Insta-View from memory if it's safe to do so /?
