  1. This is the readme file for windows.  This file will explain how to view
  2. the books using Windows Write which came with Windows.
  3.  
  4. From within the Windows accessories group, open Write.  Click on 'file', then
  5. click on 'open'.  Select 'drives' and pick the drive with the letter of your
  6. cdrom drive.  Click on "list types of files" and select the very last choice,
  7. '*.*'.  You have to click on the scroll down button to see this choice.

  9. Now you can move around the cdrom drive by clicking on directories and select
  10. the works you want to read.  The books are in the 'books' directory.  Because
  11. of the number of books in the books directory, it takes a while after
  12. clicking on the books directory.

  14. When you find a work to view, click on its name.  Do NOT select "convert to
  15. Write Format" -- this will slow down loading the file a lot.

  17. Now use the page up and page down keys on the keypad to page through the
  18. book.  You can also click on scroll boxes on the right side of the Write
  19. window to move around in the file.

  21. When exiting the document, don't try to save changes -- you can't anyway,
  22. since the cdrom is a read only device.
