  1. HOW TO UNPROTECT "LITTLE BLACK BOOK" by CIGNET TECHNOLOGIES.

  4. 1. First, make a copy of the original distribution disk. NEVER fool
  5.    around with the original disk--it's much too dangerous!
  6.  
  7. 2. Using the COPY and a "disk zapper" such as the Norton Utilities,
  8.    search the file BOOK.EXE for the following byte string:
  9.  
  10.               3D 00 00 74 07 C6 06 03 01
  11.  
  12. Change it to:
  13.  
  14.               B8 00 00 74 07 C6 06 03 00
  15.  
  16. Next, search the BOOK.EXE file for:
  17.  
  18.               CD 13 B8 01 02 CD 13 72 0E
  19.  
  20. and change it to:
  21.  
  22.               90 90 90 90 90 90 90 EB 0E
  23.  
  24. Finally, search for:
  25.  
  26.               EB F5 F6 C4 06 75 06
  27.  
  28. and change it to:

  30.               EB F5 F6 C4 06 EB 06

  32. This completes the changes to BOOK.EXE.

  34. Next, search the file LBB.EXE for the following byte string:

  42. Next, search the LBB.EXE file for:

  50. Finally, search for:

  60. LITTLE BLACK BOOK is now fully unprotected!
