  15.                        IMPSYS Change Notification

  17.         We will shortly install (or perhaps will have already
  18.    installed) a new version of the IMP system, Version 2513.  The
  19.    new version incorporates two principal changes:
  20.  
  21.      1.  A Host will be prevented from sending any messages
  22.          into the Network for between 40 seconds and a
  23.          minute and a quarter after he comes alive (this
  24.          has been changed from between 30 seconds and a
  25.          minute).

  27.      2.  The IMP has been given the ability to test its Host
  28.          interfaces under control of the NCC.  This will help
  29.          us isolate the trouble when the IMP Host communication
  30.          path is faulty.
