  12. In compliance with FidoNet's Backbone Operational Procedures, the 
  13. following will be posted at least once a month.  These conference
  14. rules will be updated from time to time by the moderators.

  17. ALL WHO POST IN THIS CONFERENCE AGREE TO ABIDE BY POLICY STATED HEREIN.

  19.  1.0  PCBOARD, the conference, is for all who have an interest in PCBoard,
  20.       the BBS software, it's related products, and all third party
  21.       applications designed to work with it.
  22.  
  23.  2.0  PCBOARD is open to all SYSOPS.  It is not open to end users of a BBS.
  24.  
  25.  3.0  This conference may not be gated into any network other than FidoNet
  26.       without the prior approval of the moderators.
  27.  
  28.  4.0  English is the only language approved for use in this conference.
  29.       Mainly because this is the only language understood by the people who
  30.       can help you in getting the software running.
  31.  
  32.  5.0  PCBoard @-at text is permitted in this conference.
  33.  
  34.  6.0  Only advertising for products or services that are directly related
  35.       to PCBoard can appear in this conference.  This does not include BBS
  36.       advertisements.

  38.  6.1  There is 0% tolerance on spamming.  The Moderators will request a
  39.       feed cut immediately upon such an occurance.

  41.  6.2  Discussion of Hacks, Cracks, Warez, and pirated software is 
  42.       OFF-TOPIC and will result in feed cut request immediately upon 
  43.       such an occurance. 
  44.  
  45.  7.0  No aliases allowed.  If you really must use an alias, then you are 
  46.       requested to sign your real name at the bottom of the message.
  47.  
  48.  8.0  When issues of concern are raised, some latitude will be allowed for
  49.       participants to discuss these matters amongst themselves, however this
  50.       latitude will end at a moderator's discretion.
  51.  
  52.  8.1  A moderator reserves the right to declare any thread off-topic
  53.       when, in his opinion, it becomes counter-productive or otherwise
  54.       interferes with the smooth operation of this conference.
  55.  
  56.  8.2  Flaming, namecalling, personal insults, product bashing, are strictly
  57.       forbidden.  If you don't have something good or constructive to say,
  58.       then don't say it here.
  59.  
  60.  8.3  Treat others how you would have them treat you. Above all, have fun.

  62.  9.0  Leave the moderating to the moderators.  Any discussion regarding the
  63.       decisions of a moderator or the rules of this conference should be
  64.       handled via netmail, not here.
  65.      
  66. 10.0  Posting "test" messages, or replying to such messages, multi-line or 
  67.       huge fancy signatures at the bottom of a message, or quoting entire
  68.       messages will be considered annoying.  Tearline, and origin lines must
  69.       be in accordance to current FTSC (FTS-0001 & FTS-0004) specifications.

  71. 11.0  The posting of automated "robot" messages used by File Distribution
  72.       Networks (FDN), must be specific to PCBoard.  Consent must be obtained
  73.       from the moderators first, before proceeding.
  74.  
  75. 11.1  Anonymous Remailers for the purpose of injecting messages in this echo
  76.       are not permitted.
  77.  
  78. 12.0  When a conference rule has been violated, a moderator will attempt
  79.       to contact the offender via netmail to ensure that he/she is cognizant
  80.       of the rules and the perceived violation.  If a second violation occurs
  81.       from the same participant, this moderator will then attempt a second
  82.       netmail message, this time, warning of possible action to follow upon
  83.       further violation.

  85. 12.1  The possible actions consist of, but are not limited to, reducing
  86.       access to read-only, voluntary non-participation, and/or temporary
  87.       or permanent loss of access to the conference.  A participant's past
  88.       history in the conference will be taken into account when determining
  89.       which of the possible actions will be taken.  In cases of gross
  90.       violation of the conference rules, the moderators reserve the right to
  91.       take emergency action at their discretion and as outlined in the
  92.       North American Bacbone Frequently Asked Questions & Help file (BOFAQ).

  94. 12.2  The moderators are always open to discussion of echo policy that will
  95.       benefit the majority of participants, and will gladly accept
  96.       suggestions and comments via netmail only.
  97.  
  98. 12.3  Since this conference has more than one moderator, all correspondance 
  99.       with a participant, pertaining to conference rules or the operation of
  100.       the conference, will also be cc'd to each of the other listed 
  101.       moderators.@XFF
