  7. 1. Treat others as you wish to be treated.
  8.  
  9. 2. No language unacceptable to prime-time television may be used.
  10.  
  11. 3. The topic of conversation is the D'Bridge EMAIL System and all software
  12.    programs directly related.  This includes both technical talk,
  13.    complaints, bug reports and suggestions. Off-topic messages are not
  14.    allowed. That which is _NOT_ allowed is advt.s' re: competing mailers.
  15.  
  16. 4. No personal flaming or flaming of the Moderator or the Author is allowed.

  22. 5. ONLY the moderator is to respond to off-topic messages or over used
  23.    message threads.

  25. 6. DBRIDGE is open for everyone. You do NOT have to be a DB user to carry or
  26.    post in this echo, as long as your messages are on topic.
  27.  
  28. 7. If you send a netmail question to me, please poll my system in about 24 to
  29.    30 hours later and pick up your answer. I do not reply direct netmail very
  30.    often; however, I do post the reply and place it on hold for you to poll
  31.    for later. If you wish your question to be answered in either DBRIDGE
  32.    or, if you are a registered user, in DB_TECH, please let me know and I
  33.    will post the reply in that echo.

  35. 8. Please remember that DBRIDGE is an International echo area. Test
  36.    messages are NOT permitted! If you see a test message in DBRIDGE,
  37.    do NOT answer it (except in netmail)

  39. 9. We do allow users to advertise "keys for sale"; however, only under the
  40.    following conditions: you must post the key/kee number and the date/
  41.    time stamp on the key file. You MUST provide prospective buyers the
  42.    above information in order for them to verify that you are the current
  43.    registered owner in our database and will transfer all ownership rights
  44.    and you must inform them that the "lifetime" free update service is not
  45.    included with the sale of the key. This free update policy is vested in
  46.    YOU and may not be transfered or sold to anyone. You must also provide
  47.    a method to contact you direct... either a valid FidoNet node number, or
  48.    if you are a point, a valid voice line number. [effective fee 8/01/94]
  49.    30 Day trial keys are available to the novice user to allow them to try
  50.    DB on their system, before commiting to purchase the program.

  52. 10. The Moderator is the SOLE authority and his/her decissions are final and
  53.     non-appealable. The Moderator will not tolerate ANY flaming of the
  54.     author; although the product is fair game ONCE - If you continue to harp
  55.     on the same problem for over 7 days, you will be asked to take it to
  56.     netmail or suspend yourself from posting in this echo for 30 days.

  58. 11. This is a hobby and D'Bridge is supposed to be part of the fun of the
  59.     telecommunication hobby. Please do not answer off topic messages or
  60.     flames; that makes you more guilty than the originator, since anyone can
  61.     ask a question that is new to them... We don't mind novice's asking
  62.     almost any question; however, we do fault knowledgeable, computer
  63.     literate folks jumping in to tell the novice what a dumb thing that was.
  64.     The Moderater will answer any such questions either in netmail or in the
  65.     echo.

  67. 12. Ownership of a valid D'Bridge license key allows the keyholder to apply
  68.     for acceptance in DB_TECH, our private, non-backbone echo, but does not
  69.     guarantee the users acceptance.
  70.  
  71. 13. A list of worldwide sales/service sites is published every Thursday
  72.     evening to coinside with the weekly nodediff. DBNET is ZIPPED so the
  73.     first DBNET this year was DBNET.Z03 (DBNET.003) - we endevor to keep
  74.     the phone numbers accurate as well as any special service. You may
  75.     FileRequest [the MagicFileName] DBNET from 1:3601/14.0.
  76.  
  77. 14. Any use of ANONYMOUS MAILERS, REMAILERS and/or other software that sends
  78.     messages anonymously is prohibited. Any message received in this
  79.     conference from such a mailer will result in the beginning system in
  80.     the path line having their feed cut. Messages posted in this echo MUST
  81.     contain a PATH line (^PATH).
  82.  
  83. 15. The Moderator shall serve at the moderators' pleasure.
  84.  
  85. 16. No one is allowed to Gate or "NetWork-List" this echo without The WRITTEN
  86.     permission of the Moderator.
  87.  
  88. 17. From time to time new POLICY will be published in DBNET as well as
  89.     posted in the echo(s).
  90.  
  91. Simple rules are easy to live by. Please help us keep the DBRIDGE echo on the
