General
───────
This was my first project for WWIV I started back around the end
of 92. It is designed to collect information and display it in a way for
users to look at and get an idea of what everyone was up to. The various
files show different aspecs of a boards activity. It was not let out until
version 2.0 which was sometime in 94. I am not much on the general stuff or
for this whole doc file thing for that matter so if you have any questions
then you can contact me from the following ways...
Call my BBS - Colossus (703)818-8904
Email me at - WWIVnet 1@8412,WWIVLink 1@17328,COMlink 1@1,colossus@erols.com

Registration
────────────
Starting with this version it I now ask a registration or more of a
support fee. This program will be in no way crippled, have delays or
anything like that. All I am asking for is $10. Although would except $5
if that was what you felt it was worth or all you could spare. This is not
about seeing how much I can make off it, but to see how many people out
there really like it and are willing to support it. There is nothing worse
then to put allot of time and effort into something to find out no one
cares enough about the program to help support it. It would make me feel
like not even continuing the project and go do something else with my time.
You can make your own form to send in with whatever you want on it. All I
really need is your name and what the money is for so I can keep a list
of who sent anything in. It would also be considered a one time deal. I
won't ask anyone to pay again unless they wanted to.
Please mail your registration fee with check or money order to the
address below. I wouldn't advise sending cash in the mail. Oh and it
Must be in U.S. currency.

Excluding users from files
──────────────────────────
This file is a simple text file and can be made or edited with any text
editor. The purpose of this file is to keep a list of users that are to be
excluded from the lists. You can have as many excludes as you want in
either number or name format and is not case sensitive. A new option added,
for those of you upgrading, is you can exclude users from seperate files now.
The format is the same were you enter either the users name or number then
you put the @ symbol and the files that you want them to be excluded from.
*See list at begining of 'Command Line Options' section for what number does
what file.
Any of these lines would be valid:
1
DR FORBIN
dr forbin
Dr Forbin@125
The last line would only exclude that user from files 1, 2 and 5. Since the
@ char is not allowed due to network restrictions it can never be found in
any users name.
Help in Config areas
────────────────────
You can get help for these areas in the program itself. Just go to the
area you need help in and press F1. I am working on detailed stuff for the
docs, but as of right now I don't have any done. If you do have any
questions then you can either call my BBS or email me in one of the ways
mentioned in the begining of these docs.
New stuff thinking of adding
────────────────────────────
1. The Exclude file can be setup through the config menu.
2. A new file that would show a list of the oldest users that have still
called withen x number of days.
If you have any suggestions on new stuff then let me know. Even if you
didn't register I would still like to hear them.
