THIS IS COPYRIGHTED SOFTWARE!! Violating the following terms is strictly
prohibited by FEDERAL LAW. By doing such, YOU are subject to any penalties
and/or legal action that applies.
This version of The Cube is distributed under the Shareware concept.
There is a 30 day time period for evaluation of the
door. When the 30 days are up, you are required to register.
The Cube may be distributed freely, providing that the
contents of the ZIP file are not altered in any way, and the ZIP
file is not renamed.
When the program is registered, you will receive a licensed file,
CUBE.KEY, giving you the right to use the program on YOUR BBS System.
You may use the door on a single BBS only. Along with the KEY file, you
are required to accept certain responsibilities to protect and assure
the safety of the program from unauthorized uses and/or reproduction.
Only YOU may use the .KEY File.
After registration, you do not own The Cube. You are only licensed
to use it appropriately. DKS Software retains ALL
rights to The Cube and all associated files and materials.
YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO:
Convert this software to another language.
Decompile, Disassemble, Rewrite, Lease, Re-sell,
Grant License or Sublicense this software.
Failure to comply to the licensing agreement violates all rights to
further use this product (DEMO or REGISTERED). Therefore your license to
operate The Cube will be revoked without refund and you face
the possibilty of legal action.

Now that we're all done with that good junk:
To setup, First create a directory for the door and put all of the files
in it. Then you need to edit the file called "CUBE.CFG". It is pretty
self explanitory.

LINE 7 ' Path and filename to ASC Score file. '
LINE 8 ' FOSSIL if you are using a Fossil Driver. Leave blank if you are not'
LINE 9 ' If you are using FOSSIL then enter COM Port number, if you are not
using a Fossil then enter base address for COM Port.
Examples: COM1:03F8 IRQ 4 COM2:02F8 IRQ 3
COM3:03E8 IRQ 4 COM4:02E8 IRQ 3
NOTE!!!! Just enter base address if not using FOSSIL
If you are using COM1 then just enter 03F8

| | |Then you need to setup the door to run from a batch file.
Here is how you would do it.:
C:
CD\DOORS\CUBE
CUBE CUBE.CFG
CD\BBS
MULTI-NODE:

Just create another Config file and call it for example CUBE.CF1
Then in the batch file for the second node just enter:
CUBE CUBE.CF1 for the Command Line.

THE GAME PLAY
This game is very simple to play. All you have to do is to get
the numbered blocks back in their original position after they are scrambled.
Originally the blocks are arranged as follows:
1 1 2 2
1 1 2 2
3 3 4 4
3 3 4 4
After they are scrambled they may look like this:
2 1 3 4
2 3 4 2
4 1 3 1
1 4 2 3
You have to get them back in there original position by twisting
four numbers at a time. The blocks posotions would be as follows:
POSITIONS - These always stay the same. It has nothing to do with the
------------ individual blocks, this is just there positions.
1 2 3 4
5 6 7 8
9 10 11 12
13 14 15 16
The blocks always twist clockwise.
1 4 would twist to 3 1
3 2 --------------> 2 4
Now let's look at the full cube again already scrambled.
2 1 3 4
2 3 4 2
4 1 3 1
1 4 2 3
In order to twist four numbers you would have to pick the four numbers
that you wanted to twist and enter the position that the upper right number
is in.
Let's twist these four numbers:--| 2 1 3 4

| 4 1 | 3 1
|--------|
1 4 2 3
The upper right corner is the 3, so we figure out what position it is in
and we type that position number. It is in position "6". Then those numbers
would twist into this:

If we twisted them again they would look like this:

You continue to twist numbers until they are back in the original position
of:

3 3 4 4
3 3 4 4
You earn points buy twisting as least times as possible.
