If this interests you, then read on to see how to quickly install the door:
INSTCDMX.EXE
This little program will install CDMX2Dor for you in a STANDARD
mode setup. It will install CDMX2Dor quickly and in a way that
will get you online fairly quickly. It will do the following
on the DRIVE that you specify:
1) Make the MAIN CDMX2 subdirectory called CDMX2
2) Make the TEMPORARY CDMX2 subdirectories that the door needs
to use for various nodes
3) Make the HOLD CDMX2 subdirectory where you will store files
that users have requested.
4) Modify your CDMX2Dor.CNF file appropriately
5) Modify your CDMX2Dor.CFG file appropriately
6) Modify your FREQSUB.CFG file appropriately
7) Modify your CDMX2DGO.BAT file appropriately
8) Start the door up in local mode so you can see what it looks
like.
After running this program, you'll almost be ready to go online with the
door.
You will need to make some edits on your own on the CDSONLIN.LST
file and you'll have to edit/make your various .LST files for your
particular CDs, but you'll find this to be pretty easy once you catch on
to it. Take a look at the supplied .LST files for examples. Also using
this INSTCDMX.EXE file does NOT take the place of reading the DOCS! :-)
You'll need to know and understand how to interface the door with your
particular BBS; understand use of other of the various files, etc. The
main purpose of the INSTCDMX.EXE program is to get you to a point where
the door is running on your system so you can see what it will do.
To run this program make sure your ANSI is running and, at the DOS prompt,
just type INSTCDMX and I'll take it from there for a quick STANDARD
installation for you...
If you'd rather install the program yourself, unzip CDMXFILZ.ZIP and
carefully read CDMX2Dor.DOC and then type READ1ST.BAT at the dos prompt.
Thanks for your interest in CDMX2Dor! We aim to please!
