QBBed [2.63]
Description Menu driven QuickBBS messagebase maintenance tool
Requirements DOS 3.1 or higher, harddisk, 256 kb RAM (640 kb plus
512 kb EMS 4.0 compatible memory suggested).
80286, 80386SX, 80386DX, 80486SX or 80486DX processor;
8088 or 8086 processors are not supported anymore.
FrontDoor 1.99c, 2.00, 2.01, 2.02, 2.10 or higher
(FD's configuration files should be in the current
subdirectory or accessible via the "FD" environment
variable).
If the file Sample.Ini is edited to reflect your system's
settings, renamed to Qbbed.Ini and placed in the same
subdirectory as Qbbed.Exe the program may be used in any
environment using Fidonet standard *.MSG format for netmail
and Hudson-style QuickBBS echomail.
Features * Full access to each field of the message header
* "Search" and optionally "Search and Replace" function
on "By:", "To:" and "Subject:" header fields
* Optionally display of message text
* Hex dump of message header and message text; optionally
display of Pascal structure for Msghdr.Bbs
* Free reply-linking of messages; reply-linking of
messages with or without a common string in the
"Re:" field
* "Undelete" messages by resetting the "Deleted" flag
as long as the message files have not been packed
* Tagging of messages by any combination of "By:", "To:"
and "Re:" fields, board numbers and date range
* Freeing of message subjects from obsolete stuff like
leading "RE:", "(R)" and similar strings.
* Optionally check for questionably dated messages.
* Moving of messages to an other board
* LAN- and multiuser-aware (at least I hope so)
* DOS shell and "hot key" execution of Tsutil.Exe;
requires only 8 kb RAM while resident
* Supports printing or ASCII export of messages;
optionally using Borland's "Sprint" file format
* Full text search capabilities
* Some kind of primitive mouse support in the main menu
* Editing/changing of message body in hex and ASCII mode
