From the NORML Summer Tour '92 Newsletter...
Amsterdam Holland Drug Classifications
And Potential Model For The United States
-----------------------------------------
Ultra-hard drugs: heroin, crack
Hard drugs: morphine, cocaine, phencydeline, methadone, pethidene
Medium-hard drugs: amphetamines, barbituates, LSD, psilocybin, mescaline,
chemical solvents, absinthe
Medium-soft drugs: opium, hashish, khat, coca, tobacco, distilled alcohol
Soft drugs: cannabis, fermented alcohol, peyote, hallucinogenic mushrooms,
codeine, tranquilizers
Ultra-soft drugs: tea, coffee, chocolate
--------
Now, I think this is a fairly good set-up, but I have one problem with it:
LSD, mescaline, and psilocybin seen as medium-hard drugs, when peyote and
'shrooms are categorized as soft. Aren't the effects of the raw forms
similar to the effects of the extracted or synthesized psychedelics?
