  36.    When you receive the WordChase v2.0 software, some of the files on 
  37.    the application disk have been compressed. For more information on
  38.    manual file decompression, see section "Decompressing Program 
  39.    Application Files". The following is a list and description
  40.    of the files on your WordChase application disk:

  52.    The installation program creates the following directories:

  112.    Decompressing Program Application Files
  113.    ---------------------------------------
  114.    Files on the installation disks that end with "_" have been
  115.    compressed to maximize disk space. These files must be decompressed
  116.    so you can use them. To decompress a file manually, use the
  117.    PKUNZIP.EXE utility. Available on most BBS's.
  118.  
  119.    For example, to decompress the file "WCJFM.1_" and copy the
  120.    decompressed file to your hard disk, type the following at the
  121.    DOS prompt:

  123.        PKUNZIP A:\WCJFM.1_ C:\WC
  124.  
  125.    However, none of this should be necessary because the Setup Program
  126.    will copy and decompress the files for you.

  129.    Disk Space Requirements
  130.    -----------------------
  131.    When installed, WordChase v2.0 uses approximately
  132.    2.2 Megabytes of disk space.

  135. 2. Installation Instructions
  136.    =========================

  138.    Installation
  139.    ------------
  140.    To install WordChase just run the "A:\SETUP.EXE" from the Windows
  141.    Program Manager or if you're using JFTOOLS.EXE just select the
  142.    "Install" button.  If you prefer you can also run the SETUP.EXE
  143.    from any directory, it does not have to be on a floppy drive to
  144.    Install correctly.  The only "MUST DO" operation in the setup
  145.    procedure is to ensure that ALL files listed above are in the
  146.    SAME directory when you go to install the program.  If they are 
  147.    not in the same directory the program won't be able to locate the
  148.    system files required to run.

  150.    Once you run the program just follow the onscreen instructions
  151.    and WordChase will be installed within a couple of minutes.

  153.    The .DLL files and .VBX files required for the program are copied
  154.    into your applications directory. i.e.: "C:\WC".  This is to prevent
  155.    any conflicts between the version numbers of the System Files.  If 
  156.    you prefer you can copy them into your system directory along with
  157.    the other .VBX and .DLL files and delete them from your applications
  158.    directory.  I left that choice up to you.  Either way the program
  159.    will work fine.

  161.    "Not Enough Disk Space" Message during the Installation Program
  162.    ---------------------------------------------------------------
  163.    The WordChase installation program copies several files to your
  164.    WordChase directory. If you have less than 2.2 Meg of free
  165.    disk space on the drive where WordChase is installed, the install
  166.    program displays an error message asking for more disk space on
  167.    the drive where WordChase is going to be installed.  You also
  168.    have the option of choosing another drive to work with.

  172.    The Setup Program will also create a Group called "WordChase" and
  173.    place the WordChase icon into it.
