processor
Available hard disk space : At least 2 MB of disk space.

device is recommended, but not required.
Sound Card : Sound Blaster compatible sound card with WAV
and MIDI support is recommended, but not
required.
II. STARTING THE INSTALLATION PROCESS
Insert installation diskette into drive A (or another drive if neces-
sary). At the Windows Program Manager, click the File menu and
select Run. In the dialog box type in the following command:
A:\INSTALL
Note: If you have inserted the installation diskette into a drive
other than "A", use that drive letter instead.
The installation program's opening screen will ask you if you wish to
install Crawler! or exit without installing the game. If you wish to
exit, press "E" and hit <Return>. If you wish to begin the installa-
tion of Crawler! press "I" and hit <Return>.
III. DRIVE/PATH INFORMATION
The installation program will now prompt for drive and path informa-
tion. The first is System File Drive Information. At the bottom of
the screen, you will see the following prompt:
Files will be Installed on Drive Letter-->C
If "C" is the letter of the drive on which you wish to install Crawler!,
simply hit return. If you wish to install Crawler! on a drive other
than "C" enter that letter at the prompt and hit <Return>.

If you enter an invalid drive letter, the installation program will
display one of the following error messages:
Checking target disk drive (D) <-- DRIVE NOT AVAILABLE!
Checking target disk drive () <-- INVALID DRIVE LETTER!
If you see either of these messages, you must re-enter a valid drive
letter at the System File Drive Information prompt.
At the bottom of the screen you should now see the following prompt
asking for System File Directory Information:
Files will be Installed in Directory-->\CRAWLER
\CRAWLER is the default directory in which Crawler! will be installed.
If you want to install to this directory, simply hit <Return>. If you
wish to change this directory, type the name of the directory into
which you would like crawler! to be installed. Please note that this
directory will reside on the drive that you previously selected.
If the directory entered at the System File Directory prompt already
exists on your hard drive, you will see the following messages and
prompts:
<<< SYSTEM FILE DIRECTORY ALREADY EXISTS >>>
C:\CRAWLER (or the directory you specified)
o if you respond Yes to the following prompts all new System
Files will be written to the hard disk.
o if you respond No to the following prompts no System Files
will be copied and this step will be skipped.
o if you press Esc, this installation process will be stopped.
Do you want to overwrite existing System files (Y/N)?
This means that your hard drive already contains a directory by that
name. You have one of two choices: have the files installed to the
specified directory, or exit the installation process and specify a
new directory.
If you respond with a "Y", the installation program will go ahead and
install Crawler! into the specified directory. If you respond with a
"N" or press the <Esc> key, you will abort the installation process.
What you can do in this case is restart the installation process and
specify a new directory at the System File Directory prompt. Crawler!
will then be installed to this new directory.
When in doubt, select "N", restart the installation program, and
specify a different directory at the System File Directory prompt.
